Pillhofer Hotel

Went to germany for the christmas markets. Hotel was easy to find and it was close to the market. Service for breakfast was slow. Hotel did not have an elevator so had to carry luggage up stairs to the second level.

Great location, friendly staff, but no elevator. Too many steps to walk with luggage. Also no close parking.

Overall, I recommend it The hotel is very close to the train station and located in the city centre. Breakfast is correct and the atmosphere was very nice. The room was clean Helpful staff members I stayed 2 nights ... but the first night I didn't have internet as the system broke down! No lifts in the hotel

The hotel is charming; however, the staff could have been more friendly/engaged. The location is great, especially if taking the train as it is just steps away to go to the underground passage to the station. The room was adequate and nicely renovated; however, the stairs (no elevator) might be problematic for some. Also, the room was quite warm, even in October, so could be uncomfortable in summer heat. Entry to the breakfast room was not allowed until just after 7:00 a.m., and the staff person for check-out did not arrive until close to 7:30 a.m. If you have an early departure to the train, etc. this could be a problem. The hotel is very charming; however, the attitude of the staff could be more helpful and friendly.

This hotel is very conveniently located near Nuremberg's central station and the old part of the city. It offers execellent value for money as well as good quality food and a very decent breakfast buffet. The rooms are simple yet clean. There is no lift if your room is on the upper floors (but the staff was very helpful to carry our luggage). Very friendly staff and atmosphere.

An adorable cute small hotel just into old town. So very close to walk to train station and very close to walk to rest of old town. Hotel room is small but ok, no AC but windows open, but outside the hotel is an Irish Pub which is open til 4 am and really super loud people are outside it always yelling and laughing and generally being really obnoxious. The hotel can't help where it is located and is otherwise a very nice place but I could not sleep at all either night. Hotel front desk suggested I could call the police but they can do nothing. So cute hotel, great restaurant attached, super loud bar next door that prohibits any rest. Do not stay here.

My wife and I stayed at the Pillhofer for three nights. We have only good things to say: fantastic location next to the train station and an easy walk to everything of interest, clean, friendly, etc. We would recommend it without reservation.

The hotel is perfectly located just across the street from the train station and just inside the old city walls. The room was newly and excellently refurbished. The price was very good. However there is no elevator and it was quite a climb to my 3rd floor room, fortunately, I had a light bag. The room is warm in the summer and the portable fan in it didn't help much. Opening the windows was problematic because it opened onto a couple noisy outdoor cafes. But I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Perfect. Loved it so much we went back mid-day for a beer there, had a great (and huge) dinner there, and breakfast the next day. Location right next to the main train station made departure to the airport (by subway) very easy. (And about a five-minute stroll to the center of town.) Everyone fluent in English, so that made life easy for us. I THINK there's no elevator -- for us not a problem, but for some people it might be.

We stayed as a couple for only one night as we were just passing by, but we really enjoyed both the hotel, the restaurant below (which serves really good food) and the location. Pluses: location near the old city centre (quick access to everything, including subway), rich and very delicious breakfast, room was clean and quite nice, hotel staff was very nice and helpful (and they speak English), restaurant below has very good traditional food, complimentary bottle of water in the room. Some areas of improvements (I wouldn't say minuses): there was no hair-dryer in the room, but I was provided one when asked at the reception; they offer no parking because of the limited space in front, however we found one close by at the railway station and at a good price; because it is located in an old, quite narrow building, there is no elevator, so maybe for older people this would be a problem, but as regards us, we enjoyed the exercise; there is wooden floor in the rooms which is not as appealing as a carpet. As a conclusion, we would recommend this place for young couples and would come back again.
