Sumiyoshi Ryokan

Ryokan super bien placé, au bord de la rivière et a 2min des rues touristiques. Bâtiment atypique et super mignon, chambre propre spacieuse et confortable. Bain privé a disposition super.

Die Lage im alten Viertel von Takayama ist einfach wunderschön. Schon beim Ankommen wurden wir von einem älteren Gastgeberpaar so herzlich empfangen, dass wir uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt haben. Dieses Ryokan ist eine wirklich einzigartige Unterkunft, die mit unglaublich viel Liebe eingerichtet und geführt wird. Zur Begrüßung bekamen wir sogar den besten Matchatee unserer gesamten Reise. Wir waren absolut begeistert von dem Ryokan und den Futonbetten. Es war wahnsinnig interessant, in diese Welt einzutauchen und zu erleben, wie traditionell japanisch gelebt wird. Von unserem Zimmer aus hatten wir einen tollen Blick auf den Fluss und die Brücken. Das Gebäude ist zwar etwas älter, aber alles ist blitzsauber. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass man am Eingang die Schuhe auszieht, wodurch alles absolut rein bleibt. Auch der Onsen war ein echtes Highlight. Praktisch ist auch der Parkplatz, der nur ein paar Meter entfernt liegt. Beim Frühstück durften wir zwischen einem traditionellen japanischen und einem kontinentalen Frühstück wählen. Wir haben uns für die kontinentale Variante entschieden, die ebenfalls mit viel Liebe zubereitet wurde. Nach dem Checkout wollten wir noch etwas durch die Stadt schlendern und durften unser Auto netterweise weiterhin kostenlos auf dem Parkplatz stehen lassen. Zum Abschied hat uns die ältere Dame sogar noch hinterhergewunken, was wir unheimlich süß fanden. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Für uns war alles perfekt, es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln.

Tutto, bellissima esperienza in ryokan tradizionale con stanze in tatami, letti futon, cucina (cena e colazione) e bagno alla giapponese in una realtà familiare e molto accogliente. Lo consiglio vivamente.

Wonderful ryokan in the very center of Kanazawa. During the two days we were there, not a single dish was repeated. Delicious! Very welcoming stuff. The place looks like a museum with many antique objects. Highly recommended

A very small common bathroom. But frankly, we never had to wait our turn.

This was the most charming hotel/ ryokan I have stayed in in a long time. The staff were lovely, very accommodating and friendly. The room was very clean, overlooked the river, very quiet at night, mattresses very comfortable and the room had a/c but was not necessary. This room had a private bathroom but the hotel also had public bathrooms as well. The breakfast was excellent, opted for traditional home cooked Japanese breakfast with many little dishes to try, such a fun experience.

The owners of this traditional Japanese ryokan did everything possible to make us feel welcome and help us solve a couple of problems. They arranged luggage transfer and separately contacted me to let me know I had left a small ring behind. They then arranged to send this on for me. The room was large, with comfortable seating at a small table overlooking the river. The futon was extremely comfortable with an extra layer of padding, the doonah light and very warm. The location is fantastic, on the river and a short stroll to the old merchant houses, morning markets and museums. The meals were beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are all charming and welcoming. We had a lovely stay.
