Sumiyoshi Ryokan

Luogo davvero tradizionale. I proprietari sono due persone molto gentili e carine e ci hanno accolto in modo eccellente. Super la cena e la colazione (chiaramente tradizionali giapponesi)

Gli ambienti sono un po' freddi. Essendo una casa tradizionale la coibentazione non è al top, quindi meglio prediligere il soggiorno qui nelle stagioni più calde. Noi la mattina ci siamo svegliate con la neve e il bagno era piuttosto freddo

Ambiente familiare,:la coppia di gestori molto gentili e accoglienti. Struttura tipica , silenziosa, pulitissima vicina a tutti i punti di interesse. La presenza di 2 onsen ( uno piccolo e uno medio) lo rendono ancora più fantastico.super consigliato

日式早餐，小孩不太喜歡，但對於大人而言很特別

是老式的建築物，乾淨度還不錯，但小孩不太適應且因為不能太大聲走動與喧華，不適合有太小的小孩入住。

Alojamiento autentico, amplio, con esencia real de un ryokan. El Onsen privado es muy agradable.

La comunicacion en ingles es compleja, pero no supone un problema gracias a su amabilidad.

A warm, welcoming and charming stay for any trip to Takayama. The elderly hosts running the place were so lovely, greeting us with hot tea and biscuits during check-in. The staff only speak minimal English but that didn’t detract from the incredible hospitality felt while staying here. Our beds were one of the comfiest for our whole trip, and there was a split system air conditioning unit in the room for extra comfort. The Japanese breakfast option was an amazing experience to try as many cafes in Japan don’t open until late morning or afternoon, so we found that breakfast options are usually limited.

The only downside we experienced during our stay was finding hair on the floor, walls and onsen in the shared bathroom. While the staff were great at keeping on top of the cleaning, we may have just used the bathroom at an inopportune time. This was also the most expensive stay we had on our trip, as we wanted to experience the traditional Japanese stay.

Super authentic. This is the real stuff !!! I think the house looks the same as 59 years ago and is run by the same people. Great location, we really liked Takayama in general, and this ryokan made the place even more special.

No windows in the rooms but this is traditional architecture.

De gastvrijheid en het heerlijke eten

The host and workers were incredibly warm and welcoming. They provided their services (cleaning, putting futon away, serving tea and meals) quickly and skillfully. The accomodation was very beautiful and impressive. If you want to sleep in an antique japanese house, this is the place.

Due to the age of the building, the insulation is not that good and the building was a bit cold. However, they have heaters in all the rooms (entrance hall, dining room, bedroom), which warm up the place well.
