"Not the cleanest place we have stayed"

As Guayaquil is infamous for its safety, it was good that the gate was locked and the staff on duty was around to open it when we arrived. He also got up early to open it for us to leave for our flight.

There were two big cockroaches in our room and we found an empty plastic bottle under our bed. These made us feel like the level of cleanliness was surely lacking. I was relieved that we only stayed for a few hours before our flight the next morning.

They don't sell any water. I arrived late and asked would it be safe for me to go and buy some and said no 😒
