"Cefn Uchaf guesthouse "

Very nice two nights stay, Kath was a very lovely hostess and went above and beyond to please guests. A lovely warm welcome and made us feel at home. Breakfast was excellent. The whole place was quiet and tranquil as it is quite remote in the countryside. You do need to travel to find somewhere to eat and drink if you like to go out places, the most local village had a small castle ruin to explore (at a price) and there is only one of everything pub, shop, butcher etc and with us being there during Easter holidays may be why it was more difficult to find somewhere to eat with there not being many places to go to. But overall was lovely and it is very pretty scenery everywhere, it served the purpose for our stay which was the Welsh Highland train trip through Snowdonia and walking mount snowden. I would recommend this guesthouse completely and we will return to stay again.

"Rural retreat with a great hostess"

If you are looking for a rural retreat with a friendly hostess then this is for you. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. Views over snowdonia with easy access to both the coast and the mountains. The house has a very homely feel and this is heightened by the decor which may not appeal to everyone’s taste as it is a little dated.

"Excellent"

We loved the fact that there was no outside noise, only birdsong and, in spite of filling all 7 rooms on Saturday night the other guests were hardly audible. Altogether a very peaceful stay. Also the breakfasts were excellent and the hostess was very quick to respond to our requests.
