The Bolingbroke Hotel

Not disappointed, the staff were very friendly and helpfully. The room was very well presented and spacious. Food and service excellent . Would highly recommend and stay again. Just one little thing the photos on the website need updating. It does not give a current and true reflection of the quality of the rooms, which have been decorated and improved recently to a better standard with a modern feel.

Good value (especially for the area) - a good choice of evening meal. The food was generally good, though I had the impression it may have been re-heated in a microwave. rooms nice and clean, staff friendly - double bed a bit on the small size for us, but we do have a huge bed back home!

Used as a base for visiting family in the area. Very friendly welcome from Jo. We were pleasantly surprised at the condition of the room (no 6). Didn’t expect it to have been recently refurbished but it was very well done and very comfortable, spacious too. Didn’t have evening meals there but had breakfast both days and they were excellent. Nice bar area and garden. Friendly service all round. All in all a nice place to use as a base for when we visit relatives again.

I had stayed at the Bollingbroke before on business, this was complete pleasure. Very friendly, comfortable stay, great team, great room, excellent food, restful sleep, return already booked

All stsff very pleasant and efficient, they went out of their way to make us comfortable and feel at home, nothing was too much trouble.

Real nice place, two lovely owners, room was great, windows open wide open for fresh air, good free wi-fi for rural location, lovely food. Only downfall, pub closes for 3 or so hours during day, so if you are present you need to go elsewhere if you need anything like a drink if you are on-site at that time, carpets were drab, showing wear but otherwise rooms are fine.

The property was very convenient for a birthday lunch we attended. The breakfast was excellent, the room was warm and quiet, the sofa was a nice touch but we found it a little low to get up from. The decor in the room was tired and needed a lick of paint and in particular the stairs and hall carpets were very soiled and needed cleaning. The bedroom carpet was rucked and could benefit from being re-stretched to remove some potential trip hazards. It was easy to park and Lydiard Country Park was close for a walk after breakfast

Very helpful & welcoming host..Lovely breakfast. Nice bathroom.Room & bathroom very clean. Bedroom furnishings could perhaps do with a little updating.
