Lakeview Guest House

This place is lovely. So many personal touches, and all by a person with obvious warmth and great taste. Elaine, our host, was so lovely and welcoming.

Centrally located at the sea/loch front. Parking directly outside - or available in the car park across the road My single room was compact, comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean. Cordial welcome with an efficient check in process and good options for breakfast. Excellent value for money. The dram of whisky and the mini fridge in the room with fresh milk and water were lovely touches which made the Lakeview stand out compared to a couple of other places I've used in Stranraer. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Breakfast was absolutely brilliant great choice,and well presented. The location was great for getting around and seeing lots of interesting features.

We stayed for one night before getting ferry from Cairnryan. Guest house in a good location, owners were friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size and clean. Nice touch including fresh milk in fridge in room. Breakfast lovely able to confirm night before what you wanted. Easy to park, can park on street or car park opposite which is free. Would recommend as a place to stay.

Only one negative was the water pressure in the shower but we was top floor which may have had made a difference. Otherwise absolutely spot on, thank you
