Hotel NASS Casa Coronel

Bathtub leaked everywhere, all of us suffered through old showers, not value for money. Staff tried very hard to be helpful and were very nice but hotel needs seems some attention and maintenance. Restaurant Don Colons in inner courtyard saved the stay, great food, great service and wonderful host and bartender.

Hotel Coronel is a budget hotel with 4 star service. The staff is consistently courteous and goes out of their way to make sure every guests need is taken care of. They really go beyond the call of duty.

El administrador y su personal en general es muy bueno pero las instalaciones en las habitaciones dejan mucho que desear, especialmente por el baño, eran muy antiguas y por su falta de mantenimiento se apreciaba colores amarillentos, de igual forma la lenceria de baño se encontraba percudida, la habitación no era para nada acogedora; lastimosamente al solicitar cambio de habitación supieron informarme que no había otras disponibles.

Very attractive renovated hacienda with covered courtyard. Friendly staff, great location. Room a little small but adequate. Will definately return and recommend it highly.

The Hotel was the only one to respond to our last minute request for a reservation over New Year's for a family of 5. Their response gave us the confidence to actually go to Cuenca at a time when the entire country was on vacation. The Hotel is clean, attractively decorated and nicely updated. Everything works even the hot water with a little fine tuning. Food was basic but good. The hotel design is an old Spanish colonial structure with an interior open air atrium with hotel rooms around the atrium. The bar and restaurant are on the floor of the atrium. This means that revelry in the bar late in the evening can disrupt getting to sleep until the partiers leave. We moved to another hotel because the bar as well as barking dogs and roosters. At the new hotel, we had Church bells at all hours. Cuenca is wonderful and a great location to explore surrounding towns. Thanks to Hotel Coronel for being internet savvy enough to offer us rooms when no other hotel would.

We were pleased with our stay in Cuenca at Hotel Coronel. We were greeted in English and checked in quickly. We had a delicious lunch at the hotel restaurant for a very reasonable price. The rooms were very small, however were clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The hotel was close to the central square in Cuenca and is located in old colonial building, so was very quaint. We would stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our hotel experience. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and professional, especially Jessica, who was also helpful as a concierge. The wait staff in the restaurant were hard working and the chef, Colon, was magnificent! We enjoyed his company and his cooking! Thanks everyone for making our stay enjoyable and memorable!

Muy buena opción para una estancia corta. Destaco la limpieza de la habitación y la cortesía y diligencia del personal.

Todo bien. solo cuando llegamos no existia la reservacion pq uds. no habian hecho el pago del 50% eso fue terrible pq no teniamos habitacion,hubo una falta de comunicacion con uds tremenda.....pero despues ellos nos acomodaron en una suite....exelente el servicio

Hotel lobby was beautiful. The room was very comfortable and everything was spotless. The breakfast that was included was delicious and always served with a smile. Maurice (front desk) was extremely helpful. He spoke English which was a huge help. He also gave us some great suggestions for sight-seeing and restaurants. Maurice also arranged for Orlando to take us on a day trip to the Yungilla Valley. We had an amazing day - beautiful sights and great company. We can't wait to go back.
