BEAUSEJOUR

As an English person with a degree of the need for personal space at certain times, I found the bedroom here very uncomfortable. It was a room with a bathroom added in. It had no door no ceiling, it literally was a toilet, sink and a small shower stuck in the corner of the room. Not pleasant. The one redeeming feature of the hotel was the owner, he couldn't do enough for us.

Firstly, it was quite a drive coming from Lourdes. We wanted somewhere close to visit Saint Bernadette's shrine . This was the best location. Upon arrival, we were all tired from the long drive, only to find out that we had to walk up 3 floors with our luggages. My mum could hardly make it to the second. Yes there are no lifts. We booked 3 rooms only the single room has an attached bathroom, the other double and triple room has a common bathroom and toilet too share on the 3 floor. We were thankful that we only booked one night to rest

This hotel is right beside the Convent of St Gildard where the body of Saint Bernadette rests so could not be more convenient in this respect. The room we stayed in was clean but small with a wash hand basin and shower but with no toilet which was a big negative - we had to share a toilet with other guests. However, the breakfast was of a very good standard in a nice conservatory. We have very little French language skills but we managed very well. We had to climb stairs so if you are disabled this would be a disadvantage. Nevertheless, I think it offered good value for money.

I have been 2 days in this hotel. The owner was nice and helpful. The room was nice too, clean and with a beautiful bathroom. It is very close to the city center, only few minutes walking. recommended
