Really nice place, the room was really nice/clean with a great shower. The staff at breakfast were really pleasant and attentive but not over attentive. Breakfast had great choices.

Great location, ideal stay for a hiking trip in the Lakes. The breakfast is fine, served by some top young lads, ample parking a bonus and very clean. The room is basic but what more do you need?

Great b&b hotel, clean and spacious room, nice breakfasts, lots to do in the local area and a good pub in the village.
On arrival I found the parking space cramped . No attention to detail. Weeds growing in planters. Could do with decorating and not clean in places . Nobody to greet on arrival. Pleasant enough staff but nobody there and seemed a bit rushed at breakfast like it was a bit of a rush. Just making money? Shower good, room slightly unwelcoming. Windows filthy. On arrival gardener chipping hedge cuttings for 2 hours and I’d gone away to get some peace.
My second stay at Rickerby Grange. This time I stayed in single room which was comfy and quiet as there were no other rooms through the walls. I had a really good night sleep. Bathroom was next door and it wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was tasty. I’ll definitely stay there again.
