Parc Lodge Guesthouse

Very accomodating hosts. Amazing people and friendly. You go a great job and I hope you know it. We were in the area to see the Stereophonics. Due to traffic we weren't able to get the the guesthouse until midnight. David and Anne were welcoming and empathetic to our delay in getting there. The room and bathroom itself are lovely. Nice big comfy bed. The fridge, toaster, microwave and selection of food, tea, coffee is a nice addition. The house is close to Bridgend and easily commutable to Cardiff by train. I would recommend visiting both. David provided us with a list of places to consider visiting. We ended up going to an amazing beach and had a fab weekend stay.

Due to how hot the weather was the room was very hot too. There was a fan provided but the room, like a lot of British properties, gets hot very quickly. The shower does the job but didn't have much pressure. TV signal is awful. It maybe worthwhile adding a Fire stick or similar

The breakfast was ok the location was great, but it was the hosts that made it exceptional

The owners Anne and David were super friendly. I was astonished with how much food that they had left for me for a one night stay. The room was lovely, and I got the family bathroom, which was gigantic.

Very pleasant, helpful and informative host, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive at all.

Wasn't expecting fridge & food in the room, this was a big bonus as my husband stayed there to do the Dragon Ride the next day. He took food with him but was pleasantly surprised at what was available to him in the room. Oh, and his bathroom was huge! He said he slept really well and was more than ready to do the 300km bike ride the next day.

Comfortable room, bed and facilities. Hosts were welcoming and very helpful. The use of a separate and roomy bathroom right next door and the breakfast making facilities were handily enclose in large cupboard. very self contained. Would recommend

The room was kitted out with bread, milk, butter, jam and brioche buns. There was also tea making facitlites with a mixture of tea and coffee. It was very clean and tidy. The double bed was comfortable. The children had the standard argument about the bunk beds :-) A really lovely place to stay and I would recommend it.

By no means a critisism, but there was no where to was up cups and plates. They had to be left outside in the morning, which was ok if you got up early, but not if you are having a lay in. As the room has an on-suite I don't think there is really a solution with that.
