"Bellissima sorpresa"

10.0

Bellissima sorpresa.

"A hotel with nobody running it - avoid."

4.0

Location of hotel very poor in relation to Sestri Levante - 20 minute bus ride. No information whatsoever about the local area in hotel, not even a number for a taxi. Just one member of staff spoke any English. A world first - breakfast with no bread(sweet croissants supplied), cheese or meat! Clean, decent rooms at a good price ruined by a total lack of facilities or even help.

"mixed reviews I read this is a good comfortable 3"

6.0

This place had mixed reviews and we soon found out why ,part of the hotel is renovated rooms the other is renovated. We had booked the premium double room and we got a newly renovated room with a new bathroom . The beds are old style but comfortable. Breakfast was a good basic continental no complaints.I would stay again. As an overnight stop. The hotel is a bit hard to find but it's mixed in with the restaurant which is well signed .

"Lovely presentation"

10.0

The staff were very helpful. We asked about trains so we could go to cinque Terre and we were given maps and timetables. Very nice and helpful.and Cinque Terre very accessable. We were up graded to a better room but unfortunately the airconditioning didn,t work for us. Maybe we pushed the wrong buttons what ever but the temperature went up and up and the Manager Vincent provided us a fan to help. The room was still at 35 alll night. Wifi was in the lounge area which was very comfortable. The rooms are large with wonderful bathrooms. Very nice breakfast as well

"Nice B&B"

10.0

Very calm environment, apart by still close from Cervo and its medieval village. Very clean, quiet and comfortable rooms and bathroom. House nicely located on top of a hill, with view on the sea. Nice host. We are very satisfied.

"Clean, quiet and close to beach"

8.0

Staff were welcoming and friendly, only found 1 staff member that could speak english though but he was very helpful. It is a little walk from the riva trigosa train station but if u catch a bus from sestri levanti it stops less than 100m away. Breakfast was nice and a good assortment of food. Only negative was no air conditioning or fans in rooms and no wifi anywhere in the hotel, but they are working on it.

"Italy, Riva Trigoso - Casa per Ferie Villa Pozzi"

8.0

Villa Pozzi is owned by the church and appears to serve as both a hostel and a hotel. Our family of five stayed in a single, large room with extra beds rolled in for the kids. The room was comfortable, clean and the area quiet. They also have private parking in a small lot just alongside the hotel. Vittorio is the hotel director. Very, very nice guy doing his best to take care of and look out for the best interest of the folks who stay there. We had a combined bath/ shower w/ hand-held shower head in our room so careful for those of you that might have trouble stepping into one of these (suggest you call Vittorio to see if they can set you up in a room with a walk-in shower). The first night of our stay, we wanted to go to a really nice restaurant so we asked Vittorio and, of course, he said, "stay and eat at our restaurant." We asked how much and he said 16 Euro each, chef's menu. We were a bit skeptical so we went out and ate, thankfully, at a local place called Rosi's bar (one of the best meals we had in Italy). Fortunately, we reconsidered Vittorio's offer for our second night's stay. Typical Americans, we asked for the menu and he said chef's menu (meaning chef prepares what the chef has). Didn't know what to expect. So, so glad we decided to eat there. Chef had an awesome pesto pasta, best we had in all of Italy!! Wife, who said she didn't want it as she didn't like Pesto Pasta reluctantly agreed to try it with Vittorio's prodding. She said it was the very, very good! Vegetables were also absolutely awesome. Wish we had asked for recipe/ ingredients. Rest of meal was similarly excellent. Please be sure to visit downtown (by the beach) Sestri Levanti! Wish we had known about this the first night we stayed, but took a right when we should have taken a left. Will gladly stay at hotel next time we're in area due primarily to the good company and care of Vittorio and his staff and we felt quite safe while there. Don & Julie
