Seacliffe Inn

The room was clean but the carpet was dirty and gross with stains. The mattress needs to be replaced, so uncomfortable. Where our room was there wasn’t any internet reception. We travelled with family and they left a night early because of the dirty carpet and the mattress was so uncomfortable. Our last night the fire alarm went off twice, the first time it took the fire department 15 minutes to arrive, to reset the system. Two hours later the alarm sounded again which stopped after a few minutes. We won’t return to this hotel.

The property is in a great location beside the beach and Ferry terminal. It’s an older hotel, clean and quiet. There are no staff on duty at night, they seem to have an ongoing fire alarm malfunction but overall we had a good stay.

Very basic, really just a place to sleep. But so close to the ferry!

The property is historic but feel it is time for a renovation. Carpets in bedrooms need to be replaced, furniture is thoroughly used, and unfortunately the beds (our party had 2 rooms on separate floors) are well past their best before time. Our queen bed mattress was like a soup bowl, and did not give a good nights rest. Staff are super friendly and welcoming, but the rooms and access areas require a major renovation. Just my opinion for the price point, expected something better.

Excellent location to the beach, ferry, restaurants, stores and beautiful park. The Inn is a bit dated but they have made every effort to provide extras for their guests ie coffee machines, ice and microwave in common areas. The Inn was clean. The beds could use some better pillows. I would definitely come back.

Excellent service. The property is in a perfect location. We love staying at this hotel.
