747 Motel

Older style motel, adequate for us, no catch on bathroom door, only five tv channels, partly renovated, overall fine.

My room at the 747 motel was basically a seven foot square shack plus a small shower room. Whilst it had all you need, it was very basic and felt quite run down. You really wouldn’t want to spend more than one night here. It was pretty cheap, but I think you’d be better off paying a little bit more and staying somewhere much more comfortable.

Cheap and cheerful sums it up. Bot old, but comfortable.

If this isn't the worst motel in Wellington I don't know what is. Room is very small and poky. While the bed linen appeared clean, the rest of the room was grubby and tired. Shower was full of black mould. Bathroom mirror was placed above a shelf which, unless you were 6ft tall, was totally useless. The front door opens outwards, just as well really as if it opened inwards you wouldn't have anywhere to put your suitcase. It also had the additional feature of a cat flap. Go figure. They say you get what you pay for but even this was overpriced for what it was.

Very small and poky. Bed linen appeared clean but black mould in shower and room generally grubby, tired and sad. You could only see in the bathroom mirror if you were over 6ft tall. Very weird features - eg cat flap in door and power points above the door.

Booked in to stay after a flight arriving at 11.30pm. I was assured the room would be left unlocked and the key inside. Door was locked so I had to find alternative accommodation at midnight on New Year's Eve in Wellington. Never again.
