Moon Gate Villa

I am usually sceptical when I hear that a B&B is 5 star, but was delighted to be proven wrong. Moon Gate Villa is better accommodation than a number of 5 star hotels that I have stayed in. On top of this, Lionel provides a superb spread for breakfast. The hosts also provide great insight into the best places to visit in the area and the best restaurants to dine at. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area for a few days.

My Sister and I stayed at the Moon Gate Villa and we had the Deluxe Suite which Had 2 rooms that was comfortable and of excellent quality. We were welcomed with much Aroha from Rob and the very famous Mojo who plays a special role in welcoming guests when they arrive. Our Host was Lionel and he has a wealth of knowledge and experience pertaining to caring for their guests. We definitely got the 5 Star treatment which was a 10/10. For me as a guest i really appreciated it how the team had made our stay very special. We definitely thought it was so beautiful to have my name on a blackboard to welcome us at the Moon Gate Villa. Breakfast was incredible a banquet fit for a Queen we were definitely spoilt I want to thank you All so much for the 5 star treatment that we received it was definitely memorable If you are looking for the best don't look any further the Moon Gate Villa is number 1. Beautifully presented room - extremely clean. Great welcome with no problems Friendly & informative staff Lived up to 4.9/5 overall rating. Top value for money.

Just like home! Very comfy beds and towels. Large closet. Large main room with sitting area. Leads to a porch with a chairs/table and two high quality sunbathing chairs. Tv had access to many movies. Very quiet area. Lovely landscaping - picture worthy ! Breakfast was HUGE so bring your appetite! Custom made! Parking was easy. 2 min drive to their town center. The owners are so helpful and kept in contact about worrisome weather etc

An amazing place to stay. A short distance into Kerikeri and to the Stone Store. Rainbow falls is only 10 minutes away. The staff made us feel as if we were a part of the family. The room was spacious. The breakfast was delicious. Toons of movies to watch and Netflixs.

The Moongate is nestled in a beautiful setting with lovely garden and nice swimming pool. Lionel, the proprietor couldn't be nicer. Rooms are lovely and the cooked breakfast exceptional. A real treat.

Loved it. Sorry we had to leave in a rush. We will be seeing you next year.

We stayed in the cabin in garden which was spacious and self contained. We self catered breakfast the first day with provisions supplied which were plentiful and excellent. The second day we chose to eat in the main house. The breakfast here was generous to say the least, beautifully presented and thoroughly worth the extra cost. The gardens and setting at the moon gate are really beautiful and restful. Lionel's assistance and suggestions of where to dine for dinner were excellent. Overall a really excellent and relaxing holiday experience and would recommend the Moon Gate as a lovely indulgent destination. We would recommend this as a place for return visit for ourselves, friends and family.
