"Bellus Rose Pension near Gyeongju"

8.0

Stayed over New Year - had a really warm welcome with lots of helpful advice about what to visit and how to get around. Very quirky hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is just outside Gyeongju so need to catch a bus (or taxi) to get around. They are regular buses so it's not much of a problem.

"Do not recommend"

2.0

Bathroom has no bathtub. Sink is clogged and won't drain. Wifi signal is so weak that can't get connecton. Location is too far from main downtown area...taxi and bus service is not available in the immediate area. Owner doesn't speak English. Can get far better facility 20 minutes in downtown area for half the price.

"The pension in Geoungju"

8.0

the pension was located in a lively residential neighborhood with other pensions. the rooms were spacious and clean. But, beware, the beds were very hard. Koreans are used to sleeping on the floor. So, hence, hard beds. The best part about our 4 night stay was the owner. She was very helpful, and loaned us umbrellas and my husband a rain jacket. She drove us to the bus stop so we would not miss our tour bus. She spoke good enough English and was a true delight. The breakfast was satisfactory.

"nice and friendly hotel, poor location"

8.0

everything very nice with very helpful hosts, location quite poor outside of city center, but close to some nice sightseeing spots. I booked that hotel because its almost the only one that shows up on expedia but there are others as well which are good and cheap, maybe cheaper than this one

"Perfect!!"

10.0

I booked this very last minute as the only hotel with a vacancy and it was absolutely perfect for me! On holiday from Hong Kong, it was lovely to be somewhere peaceful and out of town - the bus stop was a 5 or 10 minute walk (with stunning scenery - like everywhere in Gyeongju!) and you could then get into town in 10 minutes or walk to the Bomun Lake in 10. The hotel owners were really kind and often gave me lifts to and from the bus stop. They were extremely helpful and told me how to get around and what was good to see and do. Finally, the room was gorgeous and had everything you could want (kitchenette, hairdryer, towels, balcony - the works). Loved it!
