ibis Qingdao Ningxia

I stopped by Qingdao for one night on my way back to Beijing. I booked Ibis for around $15 to save money. I wasn't expecting comfort or quality, but that's what I got! The room was clean, with modern-looking yet comfortable furniture. There wasn't any smell of smoke or any other odors. (Although I had a cold, so maybe my sense of smell was off.) The internet speed was decent; I used the ethernet. The bathroom was bright and clean, with a nice shower stall. The air conditioning was powerful, with a heating option. It kept the room warm and cozy, which I was glad for because of my cold. The room wasn't veg, but it also didn't feel small. It was just the right size. The combination of the warm colors (light wood and blood orange) and well-designed layout made my stay very cozy. Although not located in a great place, it was around 80 RMB and 45 minutes to the airport. The ride to the airport is traffic jam free in the early morning. There are grocery stores, a mall, and convenience stores nearby. But I don't think it's close to any tourist destinations, so that's the only downside. I think what really sealed the deal was the price of $15, which gives me impressive value. If I can continue booking this hotel chain at $15 per night in the future, I'll definitely will on my future travels.

the hotel was not expensive and for the price you get for what you pay and I know what the hotel was all about . Overall is not a family hotel not a hotel to impress anyone but just plain sleep . Internet included. Hard bed not so great if you are using soft bed . Transportation is at door step 10rmb to major shops and beach. Great saving hotel .

A very practical hotel, the furiture IS like that of Ikea, assembled, stiff (not hard) mattress, overall it was fine for what we needed, but it seemed very sterile... Carboard cups when all the other hotels we stayed in in China (at the same price) gave us ceramic mugs...

It locates near bus stations. And it is easy to access nearby sightseeings by bus. Despite of nearby good transportations, it is a little bit distance from famous local sightseeings by walk. PS) I checked in 11 AM. It is earlier than hotel noticed check in time.

not a bad hotel, u can move and ack easy, near tofood and suppermarket and bus station is 30 meter far

Pleasant staff who are very helpfull.Convenient to main centre of Qingdao city with taxi,bus at front door.Many interesting places to eat nearby with Hotel providing sensible breakfast for 22rmb.

This hotel location near RT-mart(local super market) except it,All the other destinations are far. Taxi for quingdao station , 25min ,20RMB Taxi for Newly-developed urban area(Crown Plaza Hotel,Carrefour) , 15min, 12RMB Driver's operation is rude although he is kind. and friday, rainyday, night... It is difficult to find the taxi of a vacant taxi.

Good hotel, typical of any other Ibis I have stayed at. The hotel is clean, albeit a bit smelly. My only complaint is that it isn't in the most convenient location. The staff are very helpful.

There is a huge supermarket within 5mins walking distance. Bus stops are nearby and we think bus #26 is most convenient to reach many tourist spots. Our family room was clean and comfy, but the room had no fridge or hairdryer. We also need to boil water for drinking because there was no bottled water. Internet connection is available in room, but WIFI is only available at lobby. Overall, we had a comfortable stay!

Having a computer in the lobby is very welcome. Supermarket nearby is a bonus. Bus system is easy to use and inexpensive (1 yuan per trip). I don't know if we were just lucky but local people were very obliging and helpful. Staff at the hotel also were very considerate to our needs. Certainly would stay at this hotel again. For a budget hotel presentation was very good.
