Mansions on Fifth

The room was comfortable and the property was unique

1. No microwave oven 2. The room had no screens so we couldn't open the window and get fresh air without bugs. 3. The view was a college apartment building

The ambiance of the hotel is simply stunning. Beautiful property and rooms that are exceptionally clean. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I have stayed twice already and have a third time booked. Will always stay here every time I visit Pittsburgh. The location is also perfect!!

When you tell people there is an elevator, they assume it takes you to their room. Not just one between two floors requiring stairs to all others.

They told us there was an elevator, there was not. It does not go to the third floor and the staff did not care about the issue.

Unique space close to universities, restaurants, stores, and more. Very comfortable

This is an absolutely amazing place to stay, the location is great as well. My daughter was so excited to wake up on her birthday in a castle as she called it. Wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely intended on coming back

Strikingly beautiful mansion outside and in! Gorgeous dark wood everywhere! Perfect location to Carnegie Mellon and downtown!!! Within walking distance was key! Beautiful home! Very unique and lots of great spaces. Room size and bathroom size large. Beautiful bar and lobby area. Felt like being in a house rather than hotel. Great morning breakfast deal too! Parking on site included in room cost which was a huge plus to me as well! This place made our trip feel extra special. Very memorable!

I do believe I ended up with a different room than I expected. I was supposed to get a room with a fireplace but ended up with a 3rd floor room without fireplace and smaller windows. That room not quite as charming as expected but huge so I wasn’t too disappointed ! Also staff did not service my room and I asked for full service but my bed was never made, coffee was not restocked, and they took our wet towels but didn’t restock the ones they took.

The experience was not pleasant, when booking the two rooms we were told that we would be staying in the mansion, not the adjoining house. When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon with an over nite with our son and his wife, we were informed that we are staying in the adjoining house, after complaining poor service to the desk clerk he said there was nothing that he could do, no rooms were clean and the staff had already left. I complained the next morning and received no resolve.
