We loved being there and being taken care of by amazing staff.

Nice decor / furnishings. Lovely garden.

The pool had lots of noisy kids in. The room bathroom is odd. There is a bath in the bedroom but then the bathroom itself has a small shower and cramped toilet enclosed by sliding glass which is odd. There is a window between bedroom and bathroom with a blind which is odd. Worse was the service. Bar service slow until I complained, dinner service was awful - 15-20 mins before we were even given a menu. Then we ordered. Main course took at hour to arrive. Waitress practically ignored us and when I asked for wine advice (they have a book of a wine list) she knew almost zero. Also no view other than garden and from room the view is of the white roof over the restaurant ?? Looks like they have expanded restaurant over time but sacrificed room view. Would be better off staying in Ascona town centre as that was very nice, but it’s not really walkable from the hotel which is down some residential streets. The price is ridiculous - over £800 a night - we stayed at much better hotels in this trip in other towns locally with amazing spas, amazing views and this hotel doesn’t have it but is twice the price ?

The gardens were spectacular The breakfast spread was one of the best I have come across. The quality and variety was top notch.

Service staff with the exception of one lovely young man working breakfast, the rest absolutely HATE North Americans. Impossible to get served at the pool. Not enough seating by the pool. Had the worst schnitzel in my life. Room super basic. No lake view. Koi pond is nice. Sofa with some white stains 🤮 Avoided it completely. Had some spa treatments. They were just okay. We ended up eating and drinking every day and night next door at Castello de Sole. We should have stayed there and will going forward. That place is beyond.

Everything! Wonderful experience, the lush garden , the service was impeccable from start to finish. Highly personalised and warm, the staff made us feel not only welcomed but genuinely cared for. Dining at Ristorante Ecco with Chef Reto Brändl was another highlight. A true sensory journey. The spa was equally exceptional. The perfect getaway!

A beautiful hotel with great facilities. Staff is amazing and the food experience excellent and creative. If you are on the “Swiss Riviera” it is the place to stay!
