- I have been in 5 stars hotels before and this one is maximum 4 stars (dirt ceiling shower for example) - I have booked with payment after check in and with free cancellation till 18 local time on the day of arrival and the booking was guaranteed with my creditcard. I had to pay one day before arrival to avoid cancellation by the hotel - I have asked for late check out but there was no flexibility at all. They did not even ask If I need 30 minutes or 2 hours. It was only possible against extra charge

Makarem Ajyad is always my preferred hotel whenever traveling to Makkah. The main plus points are hotel location, car parking availability and staff hospitality, especially frontdesk staff name Mr. Hasan.

Dear Mr. Hasan Almuqati It was a very fantastic experience and the room was very neat and clean, and it was close to Masjid al-Haram. Thank you for your excellent service.

We arrived very early with the idea that we could store our luggage and go shopping and go to the haram before checking in at 4pm. The concierge noted that there were several early checkouts and facilitated us checking in early so we could get settled and relax which made a big difference as we wanted to recuperate after performing Hajj. Room service was great, very prompt and friendly. The food was also delicious. Everyone is eager to help, which was the same in oour previous stay at Makarem Ajyad last year, whcih is why we chose this hotel. The location was conveniently close to the haram and the gate you arrive at from Ajyad street is right at the Tawaaf start. We also LOVE that there is an ATM in the lobby, as ATMs tend to be hard to come by when walking in the street.

On the first day of our stay, the breakfast was a bit limited and there was nobody cooking eggs. The doors of the rooms need a great deal of force to keep open, which is somewhat annoying when having to hold open for room service, or just when wheeling in your suitcases.
