"Fantastic hotel in medieval city"

10.0

This was absolutely great experience. But please, remember that you will need to have very lang walk with all your luggage from Hotel reception to your room. - aprox. 10-15 mins to hill through medieval city, but after this you will surprised by room and absolutely fantastic homemade breakfast.

"One night's stay was one night too many"

2.0

We had to climb a steep cobblestone path with our luggage and no help from the staff, The rooms were dank, dusty and moldy. Of our three rooms, only one had air conditioning. The lobby was cluttered and very dusty. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

"Very nice Village, sloppy service."

6.0

The village and the room corresponded with the pictures and with what we had read about the hotel and the village. We will probably visit Apricale again. The service at the hotel was a bit sloppy, though. The wi-fi didn't work very well, our TV didn't work, the light bulbs on the terrace was out of order. The reception could not help us to call a taxi (we don't speak Italian), they recommended us to go to a certain bar and talk to a man with a mustasch 'who spoke good english'. One of us accidently hit her head in one of the medieval walls in the bathroom. It was quite an ordeal to reach the staff and get some help and a first aid kit.

"Cote D,Azur / San Remo regional visit"

8.0

If you are interested in an excusion into the hills above the coast from the San Remo region - Apricale is worth at least one night to experience these Medivale towns . Fairly easy acces from Ventigmillia through a valley with a stop at Dolceaqua on the way up. Some good parking in Apricale once you transit the centre on the right side. The Hotel is unique like the town . They have rooms spread around the village , we had two rooms and both were located in the same building with a lounge area and great views over the valley - we had dinner up in the town square where the village life was great to watch. Service was excellent the receptionist spoke not only good English but we noticed also French - German as well as of course Italian . She took us up into the village to locate the rooms and breakfast area. No issues at all and was a great experience to be in the hills . Rooms are of course full of olde world items but bathrooms were modern and up to date...

"Not very friendly!"

6.0

We booked here on someone's recommendation, it was a bit disappointing. The village was wonderful and we ate in marvellous restaurants but the accommodation was not great and the staff were very offhand about the whole thing. It was quite expensive and there is no explanation of what their is and then bottles of water are added on at the end for one euro! Seems petty and mean!

"Very cute place!"

8.0

Cute hotel, all the rooms are different and are in different locations so everyone's experience is unique. We loved our room and the view. Breakfast is great and the girl looking after it is lovely and can speak English well (lucky for us!).

Hotel is interesting. Rooms are located in the village not in one particular house. This place has its own personality.

"Something very different"

10.0

The Albergo Diffuso is a delightful idea - from a central and accessible reception the staff whisk you to your room or apartment in the heart of this historic mountain village. Breakfast is provided in a lovely facility which is very convenient to our apartment. You get a real taste of living in this delightful town. The staff are so welcoming and helpful - you won't want to leave.
