It was a very pleasant place to stay staff were freindly and helpful

Lovely homely property which has a traditional vibe with interesting decor. Floral wall paper, soft pastels in bedroom. Great bed and crisp linen complimented by fluffy white towels. Great. Thanks to the friendly staff - the 2 Gemma’s and Libby who made my stay so enjoyable.

Bar and Restaurant very nice and the Food was excellent, Parking was easier and plenty off it. The shower in Room 7 was great.

My Only complaint is that the Heat in Room 7 is'nt up to the job, very cold in the room!

Location and the bed was super comfortable

Kitchen extraction fans turned on and off throughout the night. Cost of room only came with a very average continental breakfast. £25 extra for the dog was excessive and not advised when booking. Shower was too small for a 6ft human.

Dinner and breakfast were excellent - service a bit slow but very nice, helpful staff. They went out of their way to oblige.

Pillows were thin and dreadful. we both had to put a cushion under them. very poor. Bed not the best but ok. Worst part was next door was only separated by a thin adjoining door and we could hear everything - so presumably so could they, which considering it was our anniversary, it was probably worse for them than for us!! We asked for room 12 as others had said it was nice, but because of the adjoining room it was like sharing! I hasten to add the people next door were not especially noisy, which helped, but even so, I recommend sound proofing.

Excellent, friendly staff. Impressive level of cleanliness. Good in general was excellent, and the breakfasts exceptional.

Too much noise from the hotel/restaurant (boiler? Kitchen fans?) made its way in to our room (Room 6). The mattress was uneven (worn) and generally uncomfortable...really not good enough and should be replaced.

Great stay, very friendly staff , comfortable , excellent breakfast .

Breakfast was amazing! I loved the atmosphere in the breakfast room and downstairs in general. My stay was peaceful and the staff were very pleasant, attentive and helpful

Window fixtures broken and glass pane cracked in my room. If it had been winter, I would have been in a draught from this window. Also dirt and hairs in the bath, clumps of dust hanging out of the fan and blood on the bedcovers. Water only luke warm in the mornings so couldnt have a bath or a shower until the evening. Only one caffeinated coffee sachet provided. Another was there but it was open and empty. Toilet roll provided was half used up on arrival (although I found another full one in the cupboard). Shabby and wobbly chair at the desk which I feared would break if I sat on it too much. No other chairs provided to relax in. Very slopy floors (though this can't be helped as the property is very old)

Friendly staff, great Bar, room fab, bed comfy, everything was first class. Breakfast was not included but bill reduced by 50%, large portions
