Great location with parking. Lovely warm room with big screen tv, great shower and an extremely comfortable bed. We loved the restaurant that evening.. great steaks and wine and in the morning big breakfast, made to feel v welcome as was our dog. Awesome experience.

Would have liked to have stayed more nights

"Colourful and clean but dribbly shower and small bed!"

7.0

Great location for us as attending a family party in the village. We reserved a king size room which was large. Room was well decorated and colourful. Very good breakfast and great staff in the restaurant.

However, the bed was only a double not a king size and the shower barely dribbled.

"Just awful and no hope with the UPPER management as is"

1.0

I'm sick of giving this place yet another try. It's convenient for where we need to stay. Owners. Just sell.

As always the beds are terrible. Coat rack fell off the wall as we walked in, you can't open the windows which are sash, without breaking your back, we had to prop it open with a book, because they won't hold open and have no levers, ropes or latches to keep them open. Red hot all night. Usual stink of chips from extractor fan. Shower took ages to get warm. I'm understanding about the distance of pipes, but, just get an electric shower for god's sake, they heat up fast, and it's 2026! Kids on the bar as always here, no clue of customer service, no eye contact, it's like as a customer you have to help them serve you. For example explain what a slimline tonic water is. Breakfast service was awful. We asked for a bacon, cheese and mushroom oatcake. Lady came out 20 mins later and said no oatcakes but we can do a sandwich instead. We said that's fine, and then she bought a bacon, sausage and mushroom sandwich. Not the same order. No one to check out with us at reception as it was empty, so threw keys on the side and left. All frills, and no knickers, and after all that investment you can't even poach an egg. Advice to management. Don't put children in charge. If you do, TRAIN them. Pay for a decent bed and mattress and charge more for the room. Slim down the menu. Do less, but qell. All anyone wants is to sleep and have a simple breakfast, well cooked. Then your average breakfast will seem better overall. P.S if you leave leave croquettes too long in the fryer they will burn.
