Great location. Very clean. Lovely room. Lovely staff who offered to assist with luggage.

It looked newly decorated. No stains on carpets etc. Loved the walk in shower, did not have to straddle the bath to get shower.

Immaculate and beautifully appointed spacious rooms in a character building, was a treat to stay here. Great communication from hosts. Thought umbrellas by front door for guests was a useful bonus. Location up a hill but step outside and shops/bars/restaurants were plentiful.

Beautifully refurbished property with a modern, stylish finish. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had everything needed for a relaxing stay. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Windermere and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The staff were outstanding – very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond on the phone. They made us feel genuinely welcome and well looked after throughout our stay.

Lovely room with a sitting room. Comfy bed. A tv in both rooms. Handy for the world cup. Nice big clean bathroom wit a caveat (see what I didn't like). Faces the road but the noise is minimal. Very handy for Bowness and Windermere being about halfway between the two. Tea, coffee and fridge.

The signage to find it is extremely poor. Our sat nav took us right outside it but a huge wall and a sign hidden behind a hedge made it invisible almost. As it's on a busy road and double yellows it was very difficult. There are only parking spaces for 4 or 5 cars depending on how people park. We were not made aware of the limited car space until the day before we left. We couldn't park there and had to park 5 minutes away but as this was the lakes it was pouring down and I got soaked. Our friends who came up two days later said they wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for our warning. Better signage and clearer information on the parking problems before booking would be good. The water in the shower was very slow to drain which meant I had to keep turning it off to avoid it overflowing onto the bathroom floor. But saying all that. Now I'm aware of the parking problems etc I would happily stay there again.

The hotel had a country house feel and was extremely clean and tidy. We only dealt with any staff/owners online and their responses were prompt and professional, we haf a very enjoyable stay and will return.

We are reasonably active so the location wasn't a problem for us. Lake Road is quite steep though so please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues.

The property is a big old House and has great rooms very quiet.

Location is good, few minutes walk to the pier. Parking is limited onsite, its first come first serve but we couldn’t find onsite parking on any of the 2 days stay. Street parking is available nearby hotel but onsite parking would have been a big plus. Overall our stay was good and comfortable.
