The property had a beautiful historical feel about it. Needed some urgent maintenance and repairs done (restoration work). Quite a few pot holes on the roads.

Lovely and picturesque property. Please note it’s a shared bathroom property; you do not get your own bathroom/shower/toilet.

Magnificent building, a rich heritage and wonderful atmosphere surrounded by extremely beautiful landscapes and fabulous views.

Beautiful historic hotel. So well kept and furnished. Cozy log fires and lovely staff. The suite was incredible with fireplace and so much space. Highly recommend value for money.

Understaffed, undertrained staff, overpriced, non personal. $440 for one night then charged $25 for breakfast! Fawlty Towers

We stayed in a shared bathroom suite. The room was delightful and clean. The bathrooms were about to be renovated but I still found them pretty and charming. It’s a historic building so it comes with different features to current expectations of most. Enjoy the change….

Has an old world charm and misty weather conditions, if you enjoy that type of thing.

This building is nearly 100 years old so you need to expect some things different, but maintenance really needs to be done. Lamps not working, faded street signs, beautiful gardens overrun with weeds. The coffee shop not open on weekdays although no one told us that, but pastries left there all week. If you wanted a coffee or tea in the middle of the day you need to use the satchels from your room and fill from an urn on the floor then walk down flights of stairs.
