Hostal Regina Down Town Mexico City

The staff was super friendly and shared some recommendations about restaurants, activities, transport, and neighborhoods. Our room was a nice size and high ceilings which was very comfortable and felt spacious. The morning breakfast was also quite nice and a great way to start the day.

We weren't able to enjoy the breakfast every day during our trip because we had some early morning tours so sometimes we had to leave before breakfast was served (I believe it starts at 8:30am), but besides that everything was great and they hosted a meet and great with free beers one of the evenings and we were able to social with other travelers.

J'ai tout aimé : l'accueil, la grande chambre (simple mais largement suffisante), les espaces communs et les petits déjeuners, également simples mais suffisants et dont le 'plat de résistances change tous les jours. Attention, les gros appétits devront aller chercher un complément à la pâtisserie (excellente) juste à côté. Excellent rapport qualité/prix. D'ailleurs nous y retournerons à la fin de notre voyage.

S'il fallait trouver quelque chose, un petit effort supplémentaire sur le petit déjeuner, un jus de fruit par exemple.

Location was good and the room was nice, I was in a shared room, but each bed was in its own private little corner, which was nice. Breakfast was good too

like a lot of places I've stayed in Mexico, there were issues with the hot water in the showers. at most it was lukewarm. I also thought the hostel could have provided more blankets, it got pretty cold at night

Que uno de los tres recepcionistas le faltara tacto. Olvidaron ponerme el brazalete y cuando llegue casi me regaño; no es mi trabajo, así que más bien si tenía dudas, debió revisar la reserva, y no decirme que me hubiera dejado fuera.

The hostel was beautifully and thoughtfully designed. I liked that the beds were single beds rather than bunk beds, and they were comfortable to sleep on. The location was awesome, I was able to walk to most of my destinations, and only used Uber Bike a handful of times. I also really liked the staff and the daily breakfasts - I looked forward to them every morning as I also got to meet very friendly and interesting fellow travellers. Thanks for a lovely stay in the city!

It was quite loud since the hostel is right by the road. Thankfully, once I fell asleep I was not bothered by the noise during the night. There were also a lot of stairs (my room was on the highest floor), which might be inconvenient if you are a forgetful person like me who has to return to the room multiple times to get my things. If one thing could be improved, it would be having water tanks of every floor.

Everything, the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the design and the affordable prices and above all the friendly staff, especially Colin. He is a real gentleman and super friendly guy...
