Stayed at Lissard specifically for the Sky Garden and to explore West Cork. Lovely place to stay, with very friendly staff. The estate is well-maintained and beautiful. Highly recommened for anyone that wants to explore West Cork.

It is clean enough, but it will be nice if they vacuum the floor daily.

Interesting house and adjoining lake house and grounds.

The lake house is a long way away from the main house initiating quite a 400 metre walk with steep steps and difficult in the rain and at night, necessitating a drive each time to breakfast and evening dinner. Limited car parking by the the lake house, meant a long walk with steep steps. The communal ground floor facilities in the lake house including the kitchen / conservatory areas where somewhat sparse, cold (as the front door was always left open) perhaps to the alleviate the smell of mice! It felt more like an outdoor hostel than a luxury hotel experience. The so-called ‘gym’ had three pieces of equipment in a small cabin with no ventilation. The yoga space was a similar very small hut with no ventilation. Although the views over the lake were scenic - the facilities were poor for the money. The dining was average, pretentious, not really a well balanced, modern menu or significant for choice and flavour. Liss Aird needs to up improve if it’s to succeed in repeat bookings.

We began our afternoon with a Swedish massage which was fabulous and really set the tone for a lovely night away. Food was delicious, fine dining and although portions may have looked a bit small, the quality was so good that we were really nicely full. We had beautiful drinks and each staff member was super friendly especially Lena who served us in the restaurant. We got a complimentary glass of pop as it was my birthday and I received a lovely card which was very thoughtful. The grounds were immersed in nature and it was really peaceful. Would highly recommend!

So calming and relaxing. A lovely hotel with great food and staff! Grounds are beautiful and the lake is a beautiful space to swim and relax. Piano player was excellent!

Pull out bed was very uncomfortable for 2 nights -lumpy, could feel the springs digging in and a little lopsided. A simple mattress topper would’ve made a big difference.

Wir haben die 2 Nächte im Manor-Haus sehr genossen. Einzigartiges Hotel mit sehr grossem Park. Frühstück sehr lecker. Abendessen auch ausgezeichnet. Sauna schön gelegen am See.

Etwas unorganisiert und bei manchem Personal ist noch nicht ganz alles dort, wo es sein müsste. E-Mails für Massagebuchung wurde nie beantwortet - trotz mehrmaligem Nachfragen. Sauna kostet 40€ extra, was bei den Zimmerpreisen inklusive sein sollte.

The Manor House and grounds are beautiful, the rooms are furnished to a high standard. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The yoga and fitness pods overlooking the lake are excellent.

The dinner menu could be slightly more varied, however the food was very enjoyable.

Smart, well run hotel, in beautiful grounds. Friendly helpful staff, dog friendly room, spacious bathroom. Good food, dinner and breakfast. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Hadn't realised we were in Lake House, a good 10 min uphill walk to dining room, not good in wet weather, although they do provide umbrellas. Food good but a little expensive, pay extra for vegetables and potatoes. With a dog, nowhere to put poo bags.

Beautiful grounds and location. Very relaxing and friendly staff. Rooms were very cosy, decorated beautifully and comfortable beds.

More lighting and hand rails needed around paths and steps in the woods and lighting needed in the car parks.
