Raglan Sunset Motel

Do t know if it just so happened to be the room i was in but felt like it needed a bit of a fix up. Plug sockets were loose on the wall, very cold with no working heater, and the sink in the bathroom was rickety. Felt like the whole tap could of broken off. There was also a lump of someone else’s hair on the shower floor.

Lovely new, clean Motel in the best location for exploring the main shops and enjoying the cafes and restaurants/bars-just a few minutes walk. Staff are super friendly and accomodating, I'd highly recommend!

Raglan Sunset has had a refurb since I last stayed, and is much more up to date. Very good bathrooms - excellent double sized shower. Good outside facilities - BBQ/seating/shade umbrellas etc, and it looked like every room has either a balcony or courtyard. Great friendly, efficient service. Location great - a very short walk to the main street, shops, bars,restaurants, wharf etc. Good, quick wifi that wasn't badly limited, and a TV that can be angled out to the bed. Clean, tidy, and very spacious compared to many motels. You could swing several cats in those rooms, without tripping over your suitcases etc.

We had the Tahi studio for 2 nights, adjoining only 1 other studio, very large room, comfortable king size bed, wardrobe, large bathroom with shower and separate bath, good sized kitchenette. Private pato. Parking right outside. Quiet location, walking distance to all shops, restaurants and beach. Ideal for a couple. A curtain over the front door would definitely be an advantage for sleeping, as the light from the outside of the adjacent apartments shone into the room. Otherwise we woukd definitely stay again.

A very pleasant room, tastefully furnished, with a lovely sunny courtyard in front. Only negative was the bed - a good size, but a bit of a bouncy castle! Central location was great - an easy walk to shops and restaurants - and surprisingly quiet.

This was our third stay at Raglan Sunset Motel and we'll definitely be back. It's an easy walk to the main drag of Raglan. It's easy to get to the beach we always swim at. The rooms are more than comfortable, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.
