Hotel Emarald

This is the ideal place to stay near Connaught Place and Railway Stations and Metro Stops. Much nicer location than Paharganj. Residential neighborhood next to 5 star Lalit Hotel is quiet and charming. Like you are not in Delhi, but all the transport you need anywhere. Great value.

Hotel was in a good location (near metro station and shopping area). Hotel roomed bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was included however breakfast largely consisted of Indian food and did not particularly cater to the western palate. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Hotel was in a generally quiet are but the rooms are not sound proof and at times it felt like the windows were open.

This was the first time I was in India and it was a trip for attending in an exam. I was nervous about the hotel's environment and the noisy location of the exam and the hotel, which is near to exam centre. I was afriad not being able to sleep enough the night before the exam, but the hotel Emarald was a place I felt safe, in term of hotel staff who were very friendly and nice, the silence of my room, which I've asked for, and the breakfast . I recommend this hotel to my friends for short time stay.

The location in central delhi is amazing, 7 minutes walking to Paleeka Bazar , 10 mins by car to India gate and 5 mins by Car to Jantar Mantar

No hot watervfor 2 of the three days. Close to railway tracks and clanging bells. Doublue glazed windows didn't fit sill, attributing to high external noise.

location is perfect Service just ok for that hotel its business hotel, after long day work, fighting with traffic and noice pollution, once would like to have a sound sleep, i felt i am sleeping on the station!!!! train eng was right side of my room, whole night i could not get sleep with the noise, you can image all trains ply in night wow i willl never suggest that hotel to any one nor i will ever stay there again

Right behind the 5 star Lalit so good neighbourhood. Walking distance to Connaught Place and various bazaars. I only had breakfast but it was great and good service around that. Room was tourist hotel class so good enough.

Hotel Emarald is located near Connaught Place and the New Delhi Train Station. The room was very modern and clean, with a shower and toilet. You need to run the water for at least 10 minutes to get warm, but it will eventually be hot. It is about a 30-minute walk to the train station, and not an easy route to follow, so I would recommend taking a cab or autorickshaw. The location of the hotel is a little difficult to find at first, so you should tell your driver it is near World Trade Center or LaLit hotel. The staff were very helpful, but not overly friendly. Free breakfast is included with the room, although it is nothing to get excited about. What you should get excited about is that the wifi internet actually works, which we have found rare while traveling over seas.

Hotel Emarald, New Delhi, India. Booked via Hotels.com. Stayed 4 days/3 nights. Twin Bed This property is location is location, location, location. Neighborhood is great and safe. Walking distance to Connaught Place, the center of Delhi, with bunch of shops, street market, Rajiv Chowk & Barakhamba road metro station, buses, park, restaurants, underground market, walking distance to Jantar mantar, almost all airline offices, post office, etc (list goes on). Rooms where below average clean. Bathroom was under lighted. Their is a railway right behind the hotel. Room is not sound proof. We where not able to sleep all night. Train blows air horn like every 30-mins. The lights keeps fluctuating all day and night. Another problem was you don't have keys to your room. Means every time you want to get into room, you have to wait until someone opens it for you. Breakfast was included in our package. But it was Cold every single day, except the Masala tea which was the best thing they have. Boiled eggs where under cooked. They charge Rs 150/person for breakfast if its not included. Which is not worth it. I would rather go to Connaught Place, pay little more for 2 people and have a la carte breakfast. There are no safe in rooms. It seems like their was only one staff member that was working. Everybody else will work if boss is walking by or is around. Don't take it as a complain, but if you can improve in this areas, this will be the best rated hotel near Connaught place. I plan to visit again. I would not stay their again.

The heating system didn't work in either of the two rooms I was put up in. The controller makes you think you will get warm air so you don't ask for more blankets. But I think they were not set up for heating, just cooling. No desk to set up the computer on. convenient location though
