Lovely pub with a pleasant room

The mattress was unfortunately far too hard for us so we couldn't really sleep. Quilt could have been a tad thicker too

Room, cleanliness, towels &:tea/ coffee available, friendly staff.

No heating in room, there's a radiator but it doesn't come on. It's at no. 6 on thermo but stone cold whole time. Very cold during night, too cold in morning. Need to heat these rooms please. No way to turn on heating myself, called provided out of hours number to ask if it can be turned on but the number is incorrect so didn't work.

No breakfast.

The pub doesn’t offer breakfast. Although Sunday roast was lovely. Staff lovely nice to stay in quirky little pub. Nice outside area for drinks and food.

More comfortable bed would be nice and option to offer breakfast would be nice

We stayed in room 11, 2 single beds and 1 double, single beds were screened from double by 1.2m partition which we liked. Lots of coffee and tea in room. Shower in ensuite excellent. Room was very clean and quiet. Bar was cosy with nooks and crannys. Very helpful staff/manager, took our wet clothes and dried them in the boiler room overnight and also let us have a late checkout. Good overnight parking.

Carpet in room a bit sad. Missed Sunday dinner - food only served between 12 and 4 on Sunday but had really nice dinner in The Turks Head, a 5 minute walk and as recommended by bar staff.
