Townstal Farmhouse

Good location close to town and full of character.

I was expecting a real farmhouse in a more rural location. Some people might be disappointed.

Comfortable room, great breakfast, friendly staff

It's long, steep walk up from the town - but that's unavoidable given the local geography. The nearest stop for the half hourly bus isn't too far away but it is not clearly indicated.

Interesting pre 16th century hotel. Room light and spacious bed comfortable with a tea/coffee/biscuit/small jug fresh milk. Bathroom good size. Despite hotel situated a few meters off main road traffic not a problem.

Food great, good choice Bathroom very good. Would have appreciated shower gel, there was none. Bed comfortable and clean. Quiet room. Staff lovely. Fridge a bonus

Excellent breakfast congenial and Joville staff and the owner of course just what you would expect from the farmhouse very nice

I've just returned from a lovely weekend for Dartmouth Regatta. A last minute cancellation gave us a chance to stay here. It did not disappoint. Room 10 was downstairs and perfect for our needs. Clean, warm and comfortable with a lovely walk in shower. Hosts were absolutely lovely, a real old school B&B. Breakfast was amazing. Situated at the top of the hill on the main road in. It's within walking distance to town if you don't mind a wander. Uphill all the way back but there is a bus ( seasonal). Can't wait to go back as this is somewhere I'd stay now everytime I goto Dartmouth

Spiral staircase leading up to rooms wouldn't be suitable for everyone.
