Suncourt Hotel & Conference Centre

Not much. staff were great but room was terrible for the price severe condensation on windows. Restaurant also very ordinary and overpriced. Would not return or recommend.

We had a tiny overpriced room. Our friends a few rooms down were paying the same rate as us but had a much bigger room. Value for money was very poor. Ripoff

Near the lake and town centre. Great location

I had a very disappointing stay. The front desk assigned me an accessible room that was very different from what I originally booked, and I was told there were no other rooms available and no possibility to change. To make matters worse, when I tried to boil water, I found five ants inside the kettle. Overall, a very poor experience.

The room itself was clean and well presented.

We stayed one night in Taupō and paid $274, expecting a premium room. While the room was marketed as such due to its lake-facing position, it was located on the ground floor, which didn’t quite match our expectations. The mattress is in need of replacement—it was very soft and had a noticeable “roll together” issue, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. Space in the room was also quite limited, with barely any room between the end of the bed and the small desk. There was a constant water dripping noise throughout the night, possibly coming from the air conditioning units above, which was quite disruptive. Additionally, the bathroom lacked a ventilation fan.

Breakfast was great and the room was clean and comfortable. Great location as we could walk into town for dinner :)

A lovely view of the lake enchanted us upon entry. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The room was clean. TV was a good size for the room and easy to Cast from Netflix. Every one of the hotel staff were friendly. We had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed it so much we went back for breakfast. It’s just a few minutes walk to town so easy to get into the buzz of Taupo.

We liked every thing.
