Econo Lodge

It's an expensive area ( Napa ) so went with Econolodge in Fsirfield. Overall, fine for the price. Staff friendly. The shower head was lined up oddly and kind of spilled on the floor.

Room was old, but fine for a one night stay. Reception was behind glass, not a good first impression. Reception smelt of old food and was quite stomach churning. Breakfast, and I use the term lightly, was extremely disappointing. Nothing fresh, all packaged. Very little choice. Overall, the stay was far too expensive for what was offered.

Being Canadians, it was a bit of a shock to see the level of security established at the lobby, but once checked in our stay was great. Minor drawback was no phone in the room and no Kleenex either which we found a little odd.

The room was fairly dated with old but operational air conditioning. No telephone in room as the property's telephone service was out of order. I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk about ice. Also, the ice machine requires guests to plug a quarter into the machine for ice.

Wasn't expecting much, since it's Econolodge. With the exception of no hair dryer in the room, everything was as expected for the brand and price.

Clean and well maintained, friendly staff. Convenient to downtown Fairfield.

We were not expecting live ins on the property. There were no problems, but we were not the most comfortable.

Breakfast was limited in comparison to other hotels I've stayed in. Service was friendly and room was fresh and clean.

I was fairly impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. For the price I would say its a good buy. They had attention to special needs when I requested extra pillows on hotels.com, although the mattress was extra hard. Oh well what can we expect for the price. I would stay here again when traveling to the area. I'll bring my sleeping pad next time for extra cushion.

The room was mediocre and had damages. It was clean, however, and the staff was friendly.
