"Beautiful Area"

This establishment is run by warm and friendly Chevy and his family. We felt very much at home and became instant friends with them. They are a wealth of information for local activities and they make great food and espresso! Out of the way and in a peaceful rural area and yet close to all of the Dali activities and Girona.

"Great value and Service"

We had a great evening at this authentic Catalonian country Inn. I think we were the only tourists there that evening, but the hosts were incredibly kind and open and spoke good English. The low cost, plus fine food and extremely friendly and accommodating staff, made this stay memorable. One problem is that is is about 3 km south of the town of Bascara. Our GPS couldn't direct us the last few kms and the signs were minimal, but Google Maps found it for us. So, one really needs a car to experience this hotel.

"Nice place, great people, good food, good value"

We chose Hotel Les Roques as a convenient overnight for driving from Barcellona to Carcosonne (Fr), and were really only after an inexpensive bed in a clean room. Hotel LR was all this and more. It is a family home and bar/restaurant that has been expanded to be a comfortable, homely and pleasingly rustic holiday hotel very suited to families. The surroundings are pleasant and away from the crowds while being reasonably convenient to the coast. We particularly liked the friendly family service, the excellent meals focussing on local produce (including wines from the immediate locale) and recipes. Breakfast cooked on the fireplace in the bar will not be forgotten. Hotel Les Roques was a very pleasant and very cost exffective experience for this pair of aging Aussies. If you stay, please say Hi to Xavi and his family for us.
