Bougainvillea Guest House

Excellent service and conveniently situated just a few minutes walk from beach and town. Fantastic food.

The service is impeccable at the Bougainvillea. Peole are friendly, warm, and very helpful. The grounds are lush and very well landscaped. It's great to enjoy breakfast out in the garden. The rooms are huge, clean, airy and some even have balconies or private gardens. Only small criticism is that the room decor is tacky - patterns are loud and mismatched, and not in a good way. That probably doesn't matter to most guests, but it does detract from all the other wonderful things this guesthouse has to offer. Also the bed was as hard as a rock. That is the one area they can improve upon.

Both the convenient location and friendly and professional staff made our stay very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to stay in Candolim, Goa.

Wir waren im November 2012 das Erste Mal in Indien und wurden im Bougainvillea Guest House sehr sehr freundlich empfangen. Wir kamen am frühen morgen an, unser Zimmer war noch nicht frei, dennoch kümmerten sich alle rührend um uns. Wir konnten gleich eine Dusche nehmen, bekamen Kaffee und Tee, die Liegen im Garten wurden uns bequem hergerichtet- also unübertroffene Gastfreundschaft. Die Unterkunft diente uns für 3 Nächte als Start in eine 2-wöchige Goa- Rundreise, aber es blieb die beste von allen. Sauber, frische Blumen, tägliche Reinigung und frische Handtücher, stets eine aufgefüllte Minibar- eher ein großer Kühlschrank:)) Danke an Mario, er fuhr uns gleich am Ersten Tag (nach einer erholsamen Nacht) nach Panjim und Old Goa. Das er den ganzen Tag, während unserer Besichtigungstour, auf uns wartete war super, für indische Verhältnisse zwar nicht ungewöhnlich, wie wir jetzt wissen:), dennoch Danke. We enjoyed the stay , the environment , the food and the hospitality ! It is far from the airport but close to the beach , the restaurants and the major sites of interest ! For the price , we got great value .

Wir waren für 9 Tage in der Bougainvillea. Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen und wir würden bei einem weiteren Goa Aufenthalt dieses Hotel wieder wählen. Der Inhaber Lourenco und seine Crew stehen jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir haben uns jederzeit gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Abends gibt es einen Sicherheitsservice, so dass unbefugte das Hotel nicht betreten können. Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten und werden täglich nach europäischen Standart gereinigt. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Preise für Mini Bar, Frühstück und Abendessen sind völlig angemssen. Besonders zu empfehlen ist die See-Fruit-Platter von Freddy. Das Hotel liegt in Candolim an einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Der direkte Strand ist nach 5 min Fussweg zu erreichen. Jedoch ist dieser nicht so schön aber dafür hat man hier eine hervorragende Aussicht. Schöner ist der Strand in Candolim. Dort gibt es liegen und kleine Strandbars aber man kann auch noch ruhige Plätze finden. Der Strand ist mit dem Roller ca. 10 min entfernt. Wir haben über Lourenco direkt die Roller gebucht, es hat alles super funktioniert. Restaurants und Supermärkte sind in Candolim ausreichend vorhanden. Auch eine Bushsltestelle gibt es in der Nähe des Hotels, ds wir aber nicht mit dem Bus gefahren sind kann ich hierzu nichts sagen. Insgesamt lässt sich sagen, dass einem ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt in der Bougainvillea garantiert ist... gereinigt

A guidebook is recommended as this hotel is fairly out of the way (though quite close to the Taj for some fine dining). The staff is very helpful and rooms are well proportioned, though drinking water isn't free. The food is more than acceptable with a small but varied menu.

Checked into room after a harrowing ride with speedy Gonzales, make sure you get Krishna as a driver to avoid this. The smell of the fresh flowers in my foyer were magnificent, the Roos are Hugh and well appointed. I was in101 with a lovely balcony. It's quiet and isolated and you can hear the birds chirping. Didn't know the breakfast was extra and I was already in krisnas cab when I got the bill, about 660 rupees about 12 dollars for 3 days. My only suggestion would be to charge more for the rooms and include coffe and pastry as it is far to find an open restaurant.

Great experience, everybody at the hotel was very friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.

can't fault this lovely guest house, more like a five star hotel. nothing was out of place or too much trouble. loved our stay there
