Initially booked the budget room due to the main hotel fully booked. But on the day of my arrival, there are vacancies and asked for an upgrade to superior double room in the main hotel. But first briefly about the budget room. I read one day before, a lot of negative reviews about it. And it seemed to be consistent across different websites. However, on the day of my arrival, what I experienced was the complete opposite. The service was perfect: bathroom was fine, WC was working, shower is not separated between cold and hot (takes time to heat up but works), the driver that picked me up from the airport, helped with my luggage (I did not even touch it ever since the airport until I was in my room). The only thing that is true: nobody in the reception of the budget hotel. But the main hotel is across the street, so should not be a problem. Now, I was lucky that there was 2 free rooms that day, and I chose the superior double room. Again, the same guy helped me with the luggage. Crossing the street again, and brought it to the new room. Before I made my decision, they allowed me to look into the rooms as well. So no complain from my side 😁 The breakfast is super. They have balanced variety of foods. And what is important for me is that they uphold the authenticity of Thai foods. They made it spicy when it is supposed to be spicy. So thumbs up for that! 👍 Please keep it like this. Do not dilute the recipe only to please those who cannot eat spicy. The bar, pool , and the beach are superb! Some of my colleagues stayed in other hotel along the same line as Chaweng but they complained that the water was super hot and no waves. Here at this place, everything is perfect! I swam in the morning, during the day, until afternoon. Watched the sunrise multiple times as well. The thai massage is gentler and bearable compared to the one I had in Bangkok. The masseuse are all very nice and experienced. Combined with the sea breeze, it was like a relaxing afternoon nap.

There are a few quirks here and there. But in general, nothing worth mentioning

The only plus is that you can use the pool and restaurant of chaweng cove hotel.

This is the 3rd time I have come to this hotel, but the first one after COVID. The rooms need a very big improvement, especially the bathroom. During 3 days the water literally came black, we couldn't even take a shower. We reported to the management, but it took 3 days to solve the problem. It was a problem in all the rooms, we were a group and it happened in every room. We won't come back again. It's sad, because before the hotel was a great option.

Budget friendly and still have access to see the facilities of the more pricier accommodation. Rooms very spacious.
