Aquashow Park Hotel

We love it here. This was our fourth time (2016,2017,2024,2025!). We can’t fault this place. It’s clean, foods great and staff are super. Their English is so good which makes you feel right at home. We stayed for a week and had plenty of laughs with the staff. They went over and above - the cocktails are unreal 🔥 and the staff made my son about 10 milkshakes and never complained! Thanks so much! Rooms are great! And housekeeping do a great job - we had our room made up every day bar one with fresh towels. You can pay a deposit at reception for towels to save you bringing your own! They’re €10 deposit and you get it back when you return them. You can also change them regularly. We were also able to rent iron and board for €10 and got it back also on return of the items. We can see the improvements made at the hotel since 2016 and honestly, it’s such a great spot. Mini golf is a great addition. The Waterpark does get busy but it’s an amazing bonus staying at this hotel. You can come and go as you please and we managed to get all the slides and rollercoasters done that we wanted to! Yes it’s isolated in comparison to Albufeira but we love this! Uber is super cheap in PT and we used it regularly to go to Vilamoura, Vale de Lobo or Quarteira for dinner! And to the beach! There are tons of nice restaurants a short car journey away - we are always spoilt for choice! We will likely definitely return! Obrigada for another great holiday!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which lasted for 10 days. We had a family connecting room (see photos), which is 2 identical good sized rooms separated by a door. Rooms were clean and room service every day was good. Our shower was perfectly useable with a good temperature. The double bed that we had was made up of 2 single beds, but with a very large mattress. The bed was really comfortable! What looks like a mini fridge in the rooms is actually a mini bar, so it can keep things cool but not very cold. We went for the breakfast included option as we heard that the dinner options weren't too good. We did have dinner in the hotel on the first night that we arrived (and it wasn't that good). Breakfast options were nice (see photos), but pretty much the same every day. Breakfast available from 7:30am. We usually got there around 8am when it was still quiet, but in the last hour from 9-10am there would be quite a bit of queueing. Our main reason for staying in the hotel was to enjoy the waterpark. We knew that it was going to be busy in August, so we used our hotel wristbands to get in early as the gates opened (10am). It was possible to get most of our favourite slides/rides done within the first hour, then the kids would try and do some others in the second hour, but by 11:30am on the days that we were there, the queues became very, very long. The big wave pool would be a nice place to chill when all the rides got busy. We were back in the hotel by midday or earlier to get on with the rest of our day. We noticed that lots of people that visited the park would set up their towels/tents/parasols etc. in the shaded grass areas below the slides all over the waterpark, basically setting up camp for the day. Lunch choices from the hotel bar menu weren't all that bad. Salad choices were quite nice, while the kids usually settled for burgers/nuggets + chips. We became aware of nearby restaurants within easy walking distance, which we visited several times for both lunch and dinner. Our favourite one was Agostinhos. From around 4pm each day, the hotel entertainment team would get people involved in pool games, mostly water polo. We joined in a few times, it was fun! Our kids also enjoyed using the jacuzzi and the indoor pool. If you like playing table tennis, don't forget to bring your own bats & balls. Mini golf available as well. There always seemed to be enough sunbeds available for guests, mainly getter busier after 11am. Our experience with the staff at the hotel was excellent. English speaking, courteous, helpful & professional. No complaints here at all. The hotel also offered options to book boat trips/tours from other companies if desired. While we were there, the majority of guests were English speaking, but we also heard people speaking Portuguese, Spanish & French. We had a hire car to take us into Quarteira town in the evenings for dinner. Parking in the hotel car park was quite limited. From 9:30am to 6:30pm the car park would have waterpark guests parking in the hotel car park, so we realised that moving our car from the hotel car park during the day would mean that there would be nowhere to park until the waterpark guests had left. Evening entertainment was fairly low budget, alternating between karaoke, magic show, dance show, bingo, live music. Cocktails charged at 10 Euros. We preferred to go into Quarteira for dinner & ice cream. We weren't affected by any late night noise, maybe because we were at the end of the corridor on our floor.

This is a brilliant resort for families, with great child friendly options including a range of facilities - mini golf, indoor play areas, indoor poo and jacuzzi and outdoor pool. Great restaurant and bar onsite along with free daily entry to the famous waterpark as part of the stay. One major area of improvement is the restaurant lunch/dinner menu which currently lacks options for vegans and/or vegetarians.

Currently still in holiday. I would not recommend this hotel at all! Even though it is only bed and breakfast there are no kettles or any facilities to make food in the room. Only a small fridge with not even water in there for arrival. We was confronted at the reception after my kids wanted burger king and threatened by the manager joanna with police. We was told that we was not allowed to eat our food anywhere else, except our room. The food at the bar is overpriced and sub par, 15 euros for a pizza that was not nice. Very limited food options at the bar!! On the plus side there are a few staff that were very nice to me and my children. But overall i would not recommend this hotel at all!!

We stayed at the AquaShow hotel as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 7. I can’t really find a bad word to say about the hotel. The hotel is a 4*, though don’t expect 4* as you would get in the UK, however that doesn’t mean it’s worse, there were just a few things that you’d get in a 4* in the UK that we didnt get. The main thing that made this hotel great was the service and cleanliness and those 2 things alone is what makes it’s a great hotel. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed and I would say that, that’s my only gripe, in a time when we all should be doing out bit for the environment, so the towels need to washed every day?! Perhaps like a lot of other hotels, there should be a sign saying ‘if your towel is on the floor, then it will be washed’. As mentioned the staff are great, friendly, attentive and always offering help and assistance with a smile. Food and drink is reasonably priced, with a pretty good ‘snack ‘menu (more than a snack menu, pizza, lasagna etc) and in the evening (after 7) they offers buffet and an extended menu to the snack menu, all food was acceptable and we had no issues but don’t expect the world, it worked for us, we had a hire car so we mixed up eating out and at the hotel and it worked perfectly. The indoor and outdoor pools are great and though at times it was busy it never felt over crowded or like you were fighting for space with other patrons. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has a wonderful, attentive staff, lots of room and features, a clean pool, and plenty of food and drink options. An excellent place to stay.

Fabulous stay Pros: - Waterpark is fantastic. - Room cleaning was great and done every day. - Food good quality (especially breakfast). - Staff super friendly. - Children's play areas great (<6 year olds). - Very clean hotel. Cons: - Hotel is fairly small so pool etc small too. - Buffet selection at dinner, whilst tasty was limited, especially for the children. - Whilst this is advertised as a waterpark hotel, it isn't. You have to queue along with the general public a few hundred metres up the road to access the waterpark. - The waterpark queues for the flumes are VERY long. We waited up to 40 minutes for some of them. - Some inconsiderate guests were shouting, screaming and jumping in the pool at almost midnight, the hotel did not stop this. - We had an expensive pair of sunglasses stolen from the side of the pool. Watch your belongings! - Hotel is fairly remote, have to get Ubers to get everywhere, including a supermarket.

Really clean hotel. Staff amazing and can speak good English. Have to mention one of the receptionists in particular, Marianna. Such a lovely person. Wasn’t a big fan of the food choices. Lots of food on offer though.

Hotel was extremely clean, rooms cleaned to high standard daily, rubbish taken out and new towels and bed linen. Staff were friendly but a bit intense and forceful when ordering food and drinks, always felt a little pressured or questioned. Food was the worst and only reason I'd not stay again. Frozen food from snack bar or literally the same bland food options in the buffet. My advice would be to add the portugese signature dish.. peri peri chicken as all the other restaurants around and explore fresh squid, pizza etc. I was sad to be on holiday and never want to see a hotels food offering ever again. We did get a taxi a few times to find good food at other places (not that far) so that helped. Please bare in mind that this was good fresh food that was cheaper than the frozen food served at the Aquashow. Staff were very friendly but a little too familiar. I've been twice and would never stay again just due to the lack of free will, privacy and food choices. Pros, hotel is gorgeous, clean and extremely safe. Staff leave the pool open as late as parents want if very hot with no issue to find a sunbeds throughout the day. Waterpark next door is second to non, amazing place with unlimited access with the hotel stay, you can also queue jump with the bands. This isn't a hotel if you want to go for a walk out in the eve without a car, it's in the middle nowhere. Kids will def enjoy more than adults. Please upgrade your food. Fresh is best x

I was expecting less than this hotel delivered and was pleasantly surprised. I took my daughter, who is water park obsessed, here and she had the best time. We were greeted well and our room was available to check into early which was great. Hotel was super clean, all the necessary amenities and having unlimited and unrestricted access to the water park was absolutely amazing. Breakfast selection was great but the reason I’m not going for a flawless review is the dinner buffet. It’s not up to scratch at all and we ended up having to eat out after trying it on night one. Food from the bars and cocktails were amazing (shout out to Christiano who knew the cocktail list like the back of his hand!) and the gents at the pool bar who were very good at mixing a good Daquiri and Huricane. Room was spotlessly cleaned every day and the reception staff were super helpful and friendly. Awesome value for money if you want to make the most of the water park (which is also top tier) and it’s not as chaotic as I expected. We will defintely recommend to friends and family.
