I do not think the concept of Executive Lounge has children included... I guess is an Asian cultural thing...

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa Danang as a solo traveler during a short resort break between work travel from Ho Chi Minh City. Unfortunately, the experience fell well below what I would expect from a five-star resort. The property itself feels old, tired, and quite run down. The green areas are probably the strongest part of the resort, and it is clear they are maintained daily. They give the place a pleasant aesthetic and help create an otherwise decent overall vibe. Breakfast, however, was frustrating. It was seriously overcrowded and noisy, and I had to queue and be given a number, which was very disappointing for a hotel marketed as five-star. I have stayed in many five-star hotels around the world, and this felt closer to a three-star experience by comparison. The pools look nice from a distance, but on closer inspection there are broken and missing tiles. The main pool appeared to have ongoing tile issues, with maintenance staff in the water daily wearing goggles and carrying out patch repairs. It gave the impression that the pool was never properly finished or maintained to the required standard. There were also private functions during my stay, which is understandable, but the notice left in the room had the wrong dates listed for those functions. That kind of basic error should not happen at this level. My room in Residence B was okay, but it felt more like a roadside apartment than a luxury resort room. The elevators were also old, slow, and had no ventilation. Using them felt like being trapped in a vertical sauna. The staff were the clear highlight. They did their best and were genuinely warm, helpful, and professional. In many ways, the staff are carrying the hotel. Without them, the overall experience would have been very poor.
