We stayed at this hotel because we had a family reunion in the area. We arrived at 3pm to find out that our room was not ready and would only be ready in an hour. As we were already late, we decided to leave and check in after the reunion. At 9pm we received a call from the hotel telling us that we had to check in before 10:30 as the reception closed at 11pm. We had to leave the family reunion early to make sure we had a place to stay. Once we checked in at 10:45pm, we noticed the fireplace in the room wasn't working. We called and they sent Maintenance who couldn't get it working either. Would have been nice given it was Valentine's day and one of the reasons we booked this hotel. We were not compensated for either of these issues. Other than those issues, the hotel was well located. A big of a walk to the town of St. Sauveur but doable. Room was very nice and had a patio. I liked that you had to complete a waiver before arrival stating that you will not smoke or vape on the premises. I appreciated that the room was NOT carpet and it felt much cleaner.
