Balmoral Lodge Hotel

Location is ideal as, the hotel is very old fashioned but that didnt bother me at all. Its very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was incredible value for money. Also nice views from my room over looking the garden

This was an experience never to be repeated! FILTHY!!!! We took on board the comments of being tired and dated, it certainly was all of that, but it was so unclean that when we opened the curtains we were covered in cobwebs. The toilet was a place of essential use only. Pics are of windows, all of which were in clear view so should have been easily cleaned. Bed covers were aged, but they were also so short that they didn't cover our ankles and feet - I am less than 5'. The towels appeared clean and relatively new. Food was on offer, but could not bring ourselves to brave eating there, knowing the rooms were flithy. Would not recommend this Hotel for even a quick one night stop over.

Location, room was clean if not a little outdated. Breakfast was good value for money

No hot water in the morning, brew making facilities in the room were barely adequate.

The staff was helpful and the room was clean comfy bed.

Location good to town. Good parking.

Building needed some loving care.
