The Curraghmore

The Curraghmore hotel is very basic but for what it is, it was a great place to stay. The breakfast was consistently good and room was kept clean to a high standard. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Absolutely would stay here again.

The smallest nit-picks I had was the mirror wasn’t in front of the sink, this made shaving slightly difficult. (I made do with my iPhone front facing camera). An extra plug socket would have been handy but again, minor details which aren’t deal breakers.

The property was in a great location short walk to the beach. 10 minutes walk to the old village. Also close to Shanklin train station.

Hosts were amazing and very understanding on our comfort and needs. Changed our room, the reason was not anything to do with them or their establishment, but were very understandable and put us in another suitable room.Breakfast was very good with a great selection, served quickly and humorously by Bernie and deliciously cooked up by Lesley. Location was great, with close proximity to the beach and promenade facilities. Some nice eating places close by.Views exceptional from rooms at front and gardens well kept and tidy. All in all a very nice 4 day stay.

Closeness to everything

It’s very run down in desperate need of a refurb. Shower was not fit for purpose.

Leslie and Bernie are lovely hosts. Room was great, location fab and the breakfast was lush.

Nothing, had a great time.

Lovely location with a friendly welcome. Comfy bed with nice clean sheets and towels. With a tasty breakfast with plenty of tea and coffee.

As others have said the decor is a little tired, but this really doesn't spoil anything.
