I suggest apart in the top floor, 3th floor. I lived in the second floor and felt very noysing. Could hear people talkimg besides and walking up. You must have a car, bike, its not close to old town. Pool looks goo, l did not use it, clean, for me the trouble was noyse. I asked the reception to get me another room up, but it was not possible

"Nice apartments close to the beach"

8.0

Me and my family spent five days in August. The apartments are 10 minute walk from Maria Pia beach, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches I have ever seen. The apartment was clean and spacious, there is a nice balcony facing the swimming pool where we had continental breakfast and enjoyed the nice typical smell of fresh coffee coming from the other apartments too... you feel you are in Italy! to complete the breakfast we'd get fresh "pasticcini" (small cakes) from the bar "mariposa" just opposite the apartments. We enjoyed the town too, Alghero is got a lot of history.. and its lovely for all ages. Beautiful experience, would recommend it.

"Good and bad - corresponds to the price"

6.0

I ended up here after choosing a holiday trip with undefined accommodation. The location is good regarding the beach and the bus stop. After high season buses run infrequently and unreliably and the last bus from Old Town is scheduled before 21.00 ( 9 PM) Both bus lines AF and AP come close to the hotel, but the tourist information office nor the landlady mention it. Taxi cost 8 EUR when I once used it. To get to the nearest grocery store you need a brisk 10 minute walk and the Old Town is 30 minutes away. Two-way cycleway runs opposite the hotel and leads to the old town, the nearest bike rental shop 10 minutes walk (near the grocery store). On Wednesday mornings there is an open market near the hotel and there you can make a good bargain. Garbage must be emptied to rubbish bins outside hotel premises but more detailed instructions on their location does not exist. Dishes are assumed to be clean when you check out of the apartment. Notice: Check out time is 10 AM. For cooking there is sufficient category of utensils. Sheets and towels were changed once during the week. On the notice board was a note telling about the WiFi to be out of order but I guess it was, after all, working well in the living room of the apartment (but not in the bedroom). Different plugs in electric devices than in my country: you need an adapter. Reception was open 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in late afternoon. Soundproofing between apartments was very weak. Fortunately, once again, my neighbors lived in the same rhythm. Also small flat screen TV with only Italian channels. Bathrooms seem to differ compering to different apartments, another apartment I saw was better designed and there was also a hair dryer which I hadn't. The shower area is minimal and the floor really gets wet how ever careful you are and shower curtain sticks to your skin. Shower is immovable, you cannot use it as hand shower. Swimming pool with sunbeds but no cushions, also parasols. Looks good and there are plenty of plants fencing the area. All in all: yes, I could stay here again. The landlady speaks wonderful English, lovely beach is only a few minutes away and I definitely would rent a bike for moving around the city.

"Quiet apartments, clean and adequate"

8.0

The apartments are clean, relatively basic but are adequate for a stay at a beach resort. We had a 6 bed apartment with separate kitchen and dining area. Bedrooms were a reasonable size, towels provided every 3 days, sheets were also changed. Cooking facilities were basic but did the job, pool was clean and the apartments were quiet. Not brand new furniture and the bathroom was oddly designed but honestly this did not impact our stay in the slightest. Close to a nice but very busy beach in the summer season. 30 minute walk to the old town. 10-15 minute walk to the supermarket. We really enjoyed are stay and would recommend. Air con worked well no issues during our stay.

"Clean, basic but adequate"

6.0

The apartments Eucalipti are basic but clean. They are badly designed- a little more thought would have gone a long way: Outside:- - large table on small balcony was therefore unusable + + large drying rack very useful. Bedroom - impossible to position the bed so that you could open the wardrobe & the door! -very hard bed ( OK if you sleep on your back , I guess!),It took me several days to not be in pain for te whole day as a result! -Basic furniture: we had to partly live out of suitcases as there was not enough storage space. Bathroom -as previously documented: Shower tray impossibly small. -Almost impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom/getting wrapped in the shower curtain! -Poorly arranged bathroom furniture, so that you are constantly bumping into things -our sink was cracked. -The window frame & sill was rotten/mouldy from the shower water, but the only place to put your wash stuff whilst washing... -The tank was too small for more than 2-3 to have very quick consecutive showers, -A long wait for the water to subsequently heat up.. Kitchen + Brilliant cold fridge ( but v old with lots of compartments missing!) +Coffee percolator for delicious fresh coffee! -Basic kitchen equipment ( only one cutting knife- a huge bread knife!) - Only 4 cooker rings: no microwave/oven. Surroundings + Helpful reception staff + Swimming pool area often quiet with no fights for sun beds! + Opposite a beautiful, but busy beach -Quite a long walk to the town/shops -Wifi: variable signal Services: + Our apartment got cleaned with towels changed 2x the first week. -Second week, no cleaning/towel change -Bed linen not changed at all in 2 weeks! +Brilliant air conditioning + Quiet apartment: probably partly because it was the top floor ( no scraping of furniture above us therefore) and not facing the pool .

"Quiet, clean and friendly"

8.0

Let's get the negatives out first. It's a bit worn. Nothing critical. Also the rooms are a bit small. Again, nothing critical. Now, the positives: A small functional kitchen with refrigerator. Nice beds and a fine balcony with a view over the very nice pool area. Free sun beds and a childrens pool. The staff is extremely friendly and sympathetic. We had an issue with a leaking hot water tank. They fixed it in less than two hours. Hotel area seems safe. And it's perfectly situated between the Lido and the beatiful and very childrens friendly Maria Pia beach. 5 min. walk to both. For the money, highly recommended.

"Brilliant stay"

8.0

A friend and I have just come back from our stay at Residence Eucalipti. We where really pleased with out stay. It is not a 5* facility, but it is great! It has all the anemities you need for an apartment, cooking facilities and fridge. Lets be honest your in a beautiful place like Sardinia your not going to be spending all the time in your hotel. The location is brilliant 5 minutes walk to the beach, 10 minutes walk to the supermarket, and then a 30 minute walk to the Old town, or a 5 minute taxi drive (around €10). Our balcony was massive and faced the pool side. The pool side was wonderful when you didn't want sand sticking to you anymore. Wifi worked in our room, it slowed down during the evening when everyone was home and using it, but this is fairly standard, and not really a big issue. The ladies at reception where really helpful and accommodating too. On our last day, we took our luggage down to the sister hotel, Residence Bouganvilia and used the luggage store facilities and pool side until it was time to leave. They also had showers to freshen up before the flight if needed. All in all we had a lovely stay and didn't want to come back after our long weekend! Thank you so much

"Affordable accomodation in a great location"

8.0

We found this place through an agent over the Internet. Availability of this accomodation on a short notice in late July-early August was one of the deciding factors for our first trip to Sardinia. Eucalipti offers somewhat affordable accomodation right on Via Lido. Apartments aren't big but sufficient enough (we had a 2-bdrm for a family of four), have balconies and are stocked with all necessities. There's a a good sized swimming pool at the property, with a splash pool for kids. WiFi works but not so great. The office managers were helpful with fixing small things. That part of Lido is lined up with similar apartment accomodations for a good mile or so. We visited in early August and most of the tourists (at least in that part of town) were Italians. At Eucalipti, there were mostly Dutch and British families. Eucalipti is located a mere 100 meters from the nearest public beach down the street. In early August, the beach would feel up by 9:30 am, mostly with vacationing Italians who bring their own parasols and sun beds (at the paid beach right next to it, a parasol with two sun beds will set you back €16/day). There's a bar/restaurant at the paid beach as well. By 12ish noon, it gets pretty hot at the beach anyways.

"Bella Italia, Bella alghero, brill eucalipti"

10.0

Just arrived this morning, 28/7/14. Apartments are great. Advise booking direct with hote and you will save £50. So what we say already, when the first morning is not complete. Well here goes. 1) arrival at alghero was very smooth. Transfer by private taxi was £25, but at 11:30 there were not other options. In any case the hotel arranged it which meant the taxi driver came with key and various documents etc. If you arranged your own flights this would be essential. 2) on arrival we chose no welcome pack, but there was a vending machine selling water, tabbaco, twixs any various other stuff. 3) if your flight arrives in the day just get the air con bus from fertlia to right outside the apartment. 4) guest are mostly Italian with an equal smattering of scandavians. We may be the only English. 5) I spent 30 euro at the fantastic supermarket, filling up fridge. We also paid 10 euro for 3 orange juice, 1 absolutely beautiful cappuccino and 2 pains au chocolate. The lovely waitress gave my daughter a little present as well. Things not to worry about. You can see alghero marina from the road, it 20 mins walk, but you can get the bus which opetrastes every 20 mins. 6) The kids are in the pool right now, and it is a lovely fresh clean pool. There's plenty of sun beds. 7) make sure you book change of linen and the safe. 8) the lido is two mins away, basicall across the road. Parasol and two beds there cost 14 euro for the day, but the sand is silky white and smooth. Its quite strong sun, so high factor cream needed. 9) all the accommodation looks similar and I am so glad I booked one with a pool, a little away from the old town. This is the furthest away I would be happy with. 10) the apartments are fine and my eldest daughter just said she had a lovely sleep. I found the beds a little hard, but they will take getting use to if your home mattress is deep and soft. 11) alghero and this apartment are absolutely fine. Sure some of the other reviews are correct e.g the moan about the toilet, but its use able, so a small gripe angainst many others things that are great. To be fair, i will do a full review after I have actually finished my vacation, but I guess its self evident that the WiFi (free) is working just nicely. Our total cost so far is under £1650 for 9 nights, why oh why would you give Thomas cook £1800 for a dump, crazy hours flights and often no air con, and risk the tatoo, lager lout brigade. Come here, come to alghero, buy a big watermelon from fruit and veg lady in the middle of the road. Lovely relaxed vibe
