For some reason, there was a bright emergency green light in the room that couldn’t be turned off! It was so intense you could actually read by it. I stayed in Room 5, and unless you're into a constant disco vibe, I’d recommend bringing an eye mask—or better yet, finding a place that doesn’t think lighting your room up like a runway is essential for fire safety. I believe that’s every other hotel in the UK as I have never seen anything like this and I travel a lot!

Really great room for the price, with soft and harder chairs and a good sized desk for working; Bathroom was well appointed with large walk in shower cubicle and plenty of towels on a heated rail; Tea / coffee, etc, supplied on a tray and a small fridge provided for personal use with 'top up' supplies provisioned in a cupboard on the landing; Room was very quiet regarding adjacent rooms but some road noise, etc, apparent for road-facing rooms; Car parking for approx 6 vehicles in a private courtyard; Access to property arranged whilst hosts unavailable and worked well; Breakfast was considered plentiful, freshly prepared / cooked and of excellent quality provided by a very upbeat and considerate member of staff;

First impressions were really good. The hotel is nicely decorated, very clean, spacious room, comfortable bed and good facilities including a small fridge, and a microwave (we didn’t use, but would come in handy). Check in and check out were both very easy, and we managed to get a space in the car park. Unfortunately our sleep was impacted by a relatively large green emergency light in the room that could not be turned off, so recommend bringing an eye mask if you need darkness to sleep. Our room was at the front of the property, although the windows appear to be double glazed, we had the joy of someone doing laps in their car with their exhaust backfiring - but appreciate this isn’t the fault of the hotel.
