Peak Hotel Castleton

Dirty The room was situated over an outdoor garden area which meant that you could not be in the room without the curtains being closed as you would be visible to people sitting outside. The room was above the function area of the pub and there was a disco on. We could not watch tv in our room as the disco and noise from outside was too loud. It was hot and it was impossible to air the room by opening the window due to the noise of people in the pub.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming to both myself and my dog Teddy the building itself is beautiful with some quirky decorations(I love old buildings) warm and clean. Its situated opposite castleton bus station which is really handy for those traveling on public transport and only a 10 minute slow walk to the centre and places like cave dale and peak caverns. Teddy especially enjoyed the window sill in the room where he could sit watching everyone in the beer garden. Teddy gives it 5 paws too.

Theres really nothing I didn't like I will definitely stay again when we visit castleton.

There was no breakfast available but there are plenty of options for breakfast within walking distance. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite was roomy. There was no internet access in our bedroom. Parking is allocated to your bedroom number and is available from book in until about 1.30pm to 2pm on the booking out day. This was ideal for us as we were able to get a last hike in before leaving.

A perfect location for the local hiking etc. Good parking, easy check in and out, very friendly and helpful staff. A good traditional hotel stay.

The location - right in the centre of Castleton. Private and dedicated parking space - a relief in Castleton. Good quality shower room, spacious and very modern. Comfortable bed.

The room was fair.y clean ( bedding, towels and bathroom, very), but quite shabby. The large window overlooked the courtyard garden and the frame is in poor condition, meaning that, although it was possible to lock it, there remained a sizeable gap between glass and frame. Wooden floor and carpet seemed dusty. The TV was very small, which might bother some people.
