Motel & Chalet Waterloo

The furnishings were modest, but this is expected at this price point. The room was clean, and it was quiet.

We (a family of 5) stayed in the chalet/cottage (advertised as 2 singles and a double bed) while visiting the Granby zoo. Initially surprised to find there were 2 levels to the chalet with the singles being in the basement. This was great though for the older kids, not so good for the toddler (no gate or railing). There was also an extra double in the basement (not advertised as no window I guess). Overall, everything was clean and I liked the wood floors (vs carpet). Would stay in the chalet again.

Not the fanciest of places, but exactly what we expected and more. Friendly owners, ( Lily) great for sitting outside and catching up on your reading. One bedroom Chalet was minimalist, but neat and tidy and had everything you would need to save a few dollars and cook at home. We loved our stay. We are booking again for next year for sure.

I chose this place as it was roughly half way between my stay in Eastern Maine & Toronto. It was an excellent choice for my needs. Nothing fancy, but just fine for the price. There were no problems.

We arrived at 2pm to find the reception closed with a note on the door to call a number to rent a room. When we called, there was no answer and the inbox was full. There was a sign with a different number to call but we got the same result. meanwhile my 2 kids ( 2years and 3 months ) are tired....hungry and very restless. It took over an hour and a dozen phone calls before someone finally picked up. The lady tells me that she prepared a room for me and left it unlocked...yay right?? Wrong!!!! The door was locked and still no access to a room. She says " Oh hold on and I'll try to call someone" to which I responded with a NO!! I'm not staying here and we headed for downtown Granby and rented a room there. Very disappointing experience

management ( Lilly ? sp. owner) was very helpful and friendly. The area was interesting on our way to a reunion in Ottawa

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is nothing fancy but it is very clean and the owners are fantastic. It could definitely use a few upgrades to the mattresses, bedding and flooring but overall it's not bad. If you are looking for more than the basics this is not the place for you but the price is great. We will stay again.

It was a convenient location. Very friendly. The bed was a little hard, it could use a mattress topper to aid in comfort. We arrive in the early evening went to town for dinner lots of choices. Left early morning. Quick stop over.

Smell of cigaret all over the room!
