Villa Poseidon -Boutique Hotel-

La struttura era a dir poco maleodorante, abbiamo trattenuto il respiro nel vero senso della parola. Il pagamento è stato anticipato al check in. Per fortuna la camera era isolata dal resto ma ahimè il riscaldamento nel bagno non era funzionante. Ho segnalato l'inconveniente al receptionist che in prima istanza mi ha detto che il riscaldamento in bagno si sarebbe attivato a partire da un certo orario (erano gia le 20). Intorno alle 21 abbiamo lasciato la camera e il riscaldamento in bagno era ancora spento, alchè ho segnalato nuovamente il problema al receptionist. Mi ha risposto che lui era un "povero receptionist" e che "sperava si accendesse". Gli ho chiesto cosa potesse fare per risolvere il problema oltre a qualificarsi come "povero receptionist" ma il suo sguardo rassegnato e disinteressato non ha lasciato dubbi al mio presentimento: l'indomani mattina il bagno era freddo e la doccia l'ho fatta al freddo. Per chiunque sia interessato a prenotare su Salerno, sconsiglio vivamente questo hotel (se cosi puo definirsi). La camera dove ho soggiornato è la Camelia, definita "suite" ( sempre dal "povero receptionist")

There was so little to say in a positive for this place. Please consider taking this place off your suggested places to stay.

First off - the owner was the nastiest, meanest person. She is mad at the world and actually yelled at us for ringing the bell to get in from the walk-up from the street. The rudeness continued with her staff. There were over 250 steps to maneuver down to the street level. There were escalators for some of the steps back up but then you had to ring a bell for them to open the back entry. That is where we were many times ringing the bell with no answer. And then you had to walk more steps and ramps that had many fallen oranges and they were very slippery to walk on. No coffee, no meals, no snacks unless you walked the steps down to the street. It definitely smelled like a cat peed through the inside of the place. (Outside cats that should have been kept outside). The shower leaked very bad. You were charged for every bottle of water, which we did not want to cart up the steep path back up the hill. Anyone with any mobility issues definitely could not stay here unless you ordered a cab every time you left the hotel. In the past, this probably was a nice place but it is tired and the owner does not help herself to tend to the customer. One afternoon when we were trying to take a little rest (after the walk up the hill from town), there was some kind of drilling right next to our room. When we complained, they told us that things had to get fixed. I agree but communicate with the customer, let us know this was going to take place. To add to this all, there was no internet. When we asked about this at the reception the answer given and I quote "oh I have internet".
