"Apartment to experience life in a Croatian village"

10.0

A great stay in a clean, comfortable and very friendly setting. Village can be reached by bus No. 25 and has a great restaurant across the road. Hosts are helpful and friendly. Recommend this stay.

"Fantastic Views, basic but lovely!"

10.0

The room had an amazing view, was a short walk down to the beach (3 mins!) close to town but very quiet. Owners were friendly, picked us up from the airport and dropped us where we wanted to go. Great for people on a budget!

"Beautiful View"

10.0

The hotel was very nice and clean. Very comfortable and inviting. The beach was just some steps down a narrow path. Very peaceful. Our balcony had a hammock and our son enjoyed it very much. It was nice to relax with a glass of wine in the balcony overlooking the sea. The surrounding area was very nice also and the people very friendly.

"Awful place!"

2.0

I booked this hotel after reading all the positive reviews about the place and about Miro and his family. I never met Miro - if he exists - and the place was so different from the one described. The path to the beach is very overgrown and dangerous as it has a steep drop at the bottom. It is basically down a cliff face and is very small it is not worth it. The TV didn't work, the WIFI only worked occasionally, the bathroom really smelled awful and the tiles were all broken, we ran out of water one day, the towels were really old and dirty, there was no duvet, hairdryer, reception desk or breakfast available as described, the balcony didn't get any sun so we couldn't sit out and the apartment is at least a 20 minute (steep) walk from the village. The owner who didn't speak much English just seemed interested in our money - which we needed to pay in local currency as they don't have a bank machine which I didn't realise. I wouldn't advise to stay here at all. There are places in Stobrec which are the same price or cheaper and in much better condition.

"fantastic place"

Lovely apartment with 2 balconies. The owner Miro could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Miro advised us the best places to visit and eat. The beach below the apartment is beautiful. We would definately visit again.

"At the center of it all"

10.0

My wife and I stayed at Super Horizont in Stobrec, just four miles outside of Split. It was a fantastic place to stay, with an absolutely stunning view, unbeatable service, and a 30 second walk down to the beach. It's a stony beach, but just spread your towels out on the flat boulder and you're like royalty! The hotelier, Miro, and his family were exceptionally helpful, which is an important resource when you don't know your way around the city, country, language, etc. They're awesome. Miro was even so kind to get in touch beforehand and arrange a pickup from the airport. Incredible. The village of Strobrec was perfect. Being just a touch outside of Split (only a super easy 10 minute bus ride to downtown and port) was something we enjoyed because the atmosphere is soft, laid back, and there are so many amazing restaurants. Strolling out at night to choose from a galaxy of authentic Croatian restaurants was a highlight. And laying on the balcony with some local beers, a book, and the view was pretty much the best thing in the world. Geographically, Split was perfect for us, as we traveled while were in Croatia, but we never checked out of Horizont. It was our staging ground. The port in Split will take you to a variety of islands and the ferries are very cheap and always on time. Hvar is architecturally stunning with a lot of energy, while Brac (specifically the city of Bol) has one of the best beaches I've ever seen and a way chilled out attitude. You gotta go!

"Very Accomodating Owners and Relaxing Break"

8.0

We booked the Super Horizont apartment for the last part of our holiday in Croatia. We had enjoyed an exhausting week on a boating holiday and needed to relax. Our apartment was really comfortable and had fantastic sea views from the two balconies. You can access the pebble beach down a steep path where the snorkelling is excellent. The apartment block is owned by Miro and his wife and they were extremely accomodating. As the apartment is a fair distance from the supermarket, Miro took us in his car to buy provisions for our stay and would not take any monetary reward for this service. He also drove us to the palace in Split (well worth a visit) and picked us up at the agreed time. As well as taking us to the airport when it was time to go home (his rate was considerably cheaper than any taxi).

"Fantastic Views and Wonderful Hosts"

8.0

The owners of this local hotel were excellent hosts. I highly recommend them. They went out of there way to accommodate any needs that were required which included a pickup from the Split Bus Terminal and also a drop off to the Split Airport.

"Ocean View"

10.0

I am so Happy that we booked this Hotel. The view over the ocean is absolutely fantastic. Me and my sister arrived by train. The Hotelowner picked us up and on the way he stopped at a store for us to shop some. You can always ask him for help with this. The family that owns the Hotel are very nice. Things you need to know is that it is best to have a car. If not the walk from the bus stop is 800 meter uphill. If you travel with children there is no beach. You can go down to the ocean from the Hotel but it is a steep walk down, about 100 meters. There is a shootingrange nearbye that from time to time was a bit annoying but you just turn your head and look at the beautiful view over the ocean and/or the mountains and you forget about it. If I go back to Split I will absolutely book this Hotel again. Thanks to Miroslav and Family for a very nice stay. Cheers from Cecilia
