Hotel Playa Westfalia

I DON'T USUALLY LEAVE REVIEWS BUT SINCE THE HOTEL DID NOT HAVE ANY YET THOUGHT I WOULD GET THEM STARTED. WESTFALIA IS A HIDDEN GEM. GREAT PIECE OF PROPERTY JUST OUTSIDE OF TOWN. RESTAURANT SERVES GREAT FOOD AND ALSO BEER AND COCKTAILS. ROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN, BED COMFORTABLE AND WATER HOT. NICE SITTING AREA OUTSIDE OF THE ROOM. WISH I COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER! SR

Beautiful view and great service

This is a great place. Very clean, beautiful pool and right on the beach. The food is good including the breakfast. It’s a good place if you have a car. Centrally located to all local activities.

The hotel is located conveniently close to the airport, away from the hustle, bustle and traffic of Limon. There is a large, secure parking lot. The reception and wait staff are polite, friendly and fun. Breakfasts are good. The hotel is located on the beach but also has a lovely pool. Rooms are large, good wifi and TV but no other amenities. No fridge, no coffee maker nor kettle, No toiletries in the bathroom.

Wonderful staff. A quiet place to lay your head after a day out

Enjoyed our stay right on the beach. Seemed like we owned it. Could see no other lodgings from beach. Ate meals on grounds looking at the waves. Simple and comfortable accommodations for a reasonable price.

We’ve stayed here before pandemic, ocean view suite used to have refrigerator, small tv in second bedroom, and there was no muggy smell. Stayed same suite for this one day trip, as you walked in to room the smell was horrible, bedroom sheets, covers and towels had same smell, no refrigerator, no second tv for second bedroom. Pool looks clean but once inside all around top ring you can see signs of mold, slimy and obviously looks as bacteria building up. Beach area not clean, no chairs, everything closes by 7pm. Property has a for sale sign so looks as if they are getting maybe rid of everything to sell property. Overall was not happy this time.

Very friendly staff. Pretty beach. Pool was great for the kiddo.

Rainy throughout. Staff very pleasant and helpful Very good breakfast Rooms average but good value for price paid No additional services offered (tours, close points of interest, etc. etc.) Eco friendly debris on beach front somewhat of an eyesore.
