Absolutely spotless room, love that you can check in through keysafe

Theres really nothing to not like

The property is very well presented and cared for, with a high level of cleanliness and good facilities - as an example they ask guests to remove their shoes before entering so the carpets feel immaculate. The owners are helpful and responsive. Rooms are spacious and attractive, with some period features. There is a good-sized garden area, and a hot tub that you can book to use for free. There is no specific parking area but it it always easy to park on the road behind the property. You can help yourself to free breakfast in the dining room, and make tea/coffee in there 24/7.

We have stayed in various rooms at the property before, and all are excellent. However, this time we didn't have the usual tea/coffee station in the room. We stayed on the ground floor opposite the kitchen so we wondered if it was because you could cross the corridor at any time to make a cup of tea. But, you don't know who is going to be in the dining room and you don't want to get dressed to make a hot drink at bedtime or early in the morning. So we'd recommend putting a kettle in this room. If you are staying here to visit Hastings seafront, be aware that the property is a consistently very steep uphill walk from the beach and town centre. It isn't near any sites of particular interest; it's in a residential area.

Lovely room really well looked after. Alex check in and out was easy and accessible. Breakfast was as described and was a nice start to our day. Bathroom clean and fresh as well as shower.

Unfortunately perhaps due to the hot weather and maybe sunscreen in the water the hot tub did have a little problem with cleanliness. This was a shame as we always look forward to relaxing for some time but we were only in for around 10 minutes due to quite a strong smell and some murky bubbles. Would suggest maybe checking up on cleaning this more often when it is hot as sun lotion does tend to clog up the system. Overall it was the only problem we had with our stay.
