The Commercial Hotel

A little gem. This place is clearly a local hub. The restaurant and bar had a great buzz. The service and food were excellent as was the room. Definitely recommend and will stay again when I’m in the area.

A spacious room in an old, but well kept hotel. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff and good dinner and breakfast.

Super welcoming. And I arrived during Storm Amy which had just cut power to the whole village. Staff had sorted out torches for all guests and sandwiches were still forthcoming from the kitchen. Keep calm and carry on ! Comfiest bed!

Not much. A wee bit of noise from the farmer boys heading home, but nothing dramatic.

Very helpful staff, cozy pub excellent Sunday roast beef dinner.

Facility a little tired. Food was good, not great. On main road so loud but rooms in back so somewhat protected.

My husband recently stayed at this lovely family run hotel and was really impressed. Before his arrival they even called ahead to ask if he’d like them to reserve his tea time slot in case it filled up, such a thoughtful touch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. They also went the extra mile by preparing him a packed lunch for the next day, which was much appreciated while he was working away. He’ll definitely be staying here again whenever he’s in the area for work.

Breakfast was awesome and exactly what I like. Service was prompt and friendly

Possibly would have benefited from seeing water on the table - I am a big fan of water to drink. Perhaps it was there earlier - not sure. Regardless, I asked for it and it was delivered immediately

Everything Major plus was the lovely lady who served breakfast with such a welcoming smile
